01 February 2017
Both devices have 6GB RAM and Android 7.0 but the 3T’s Snapdragon 821 is faster when multiple apps opened.

    OnePlus falsified results in benchmarks

Following an old strategy of Samsung, those from OnePlus and Meizu have thought that reality is too sad for their products, so they decided to cheat in benchmark tests. Specifically, the two manufacturers have modified Android software so that when you are running benchmark applications, processor frequencies to be increased to have better results. OnePlus and Meizu 3T Pro 6 are terminals were found to falsify reality and get in benchmarks performed better than in actual use. OnePlus has defended saying that CPU frequencies are inflated only in games, but Samsung and HTC have done the same things, only to have better results, but unreal. Despite OnePlus 3T was unreal processing power in benchmark tests, he still managed to surpass iPhones 7, which does not have such "benefits". However, this false presentation of reality suggests that some customers were duped into buying OnePlus terminal 3T, believing that they have exceptional performance. In reality, OnePlus 3T only have frequent "inflated" in performance tests, so that the client be foolish to buy the product. It is true that OnePlus 3T is much cheaper than other smartphones with comparable specifications, but such practices must be eradicated because it presents a false picture of reality, which still does not exceed the iPhone, LeEco Pro3, Google Pixel, LG, in performance.

Z, 01 Feb 2017Mate 9 loaded one app. Sometime it happens. If you ignore... moreIt is because without fail oneplus has better ram retention.

Ram retention is the most important thing in Android. Time after time and without fail Oneplus keeps more apps in memory allowing to be the faster android in every day use, on average.

Mate 9 Pro may feel faster some few time, but its worse ram retention scheme will keep it down. It is still ultra fast though and the only to see so close to oneplus 3T in such a test. It certainly smokes all "western phones" (most of which are slow due to how little 4GB is when trying to keep apps in memory).

          1080p vs 1440p

That "cheating" only affects benchmark tests in order to get good numbers for marketing. In real-life performance it means absolutely nothing- maybe even a good step. It's a dirty marketing trick but has no impact on daily use, or even positive impact.

This guy has been making amusing videos like this BUT I think this testing method has some quirks.

However fast the phone opens everyday-apps which involves most for user experience, a few heavy games (which only matters for game addicts) takes up much of the lap time and ruins all
.. the result is mostly determined by just games.

I prefer YourTechGuide's method over this one.

Mate 9 UI is not optimized to keep everything in RAM. Otherwise, kirin 960 is faster than one plus 3.

Ok, Oneplus 3T is the fastest phone at loading and maintaining in RAM apps...BUT FOR ALL PEOPLE WHO WANT TO BUY A FLAGSHIP ...DON'T care about this tests, any 2016 flagships from Samsung, LG, Sony, HTC, Google, Oneplus, Huawei, Motorola, Apple will be as fast in daily usage (you can't see the difference shown it this tests in real life)...consider things like battery life, software support, speakers, storage and screen to make a choice as long as the SOC(Chipset in specs at GsmArena) is Apple A10,Exynos 8890,Snapdragon 820/821 or Kirin 955/960.

Who are talking about cheating, it's not a benchmark, it is real life performance. and if you still say "yes, real life performance is also faster because of cheating" lol, we have to say "OK, we just want faster real life performance, don't have to do anything with cheating lol. And there are really some stupids who will argue like that.

3T also faster than iPhone 6s but not faster than 7. But oneplus 3 was faster than iPhone 6s which was faster than S7.

that was already obvious before even this speedtest -_-

Anonymous, 01 Feb 2017One Plus 3T is faster with cheating, sure. Cut the cr@p. Only an iD!iot knows nothing how benchmark is supposed to be executed.

GB: Let's throw worthless tests on efficiency clusters that take 25% cpu utilization and call the SoC p@thetic because it scored lower than Cr@pple that keeps it SoC speed 100% all the time.

If you ignore that app it would have beaten One Plus 3T.
