Anonymous, 02 Feb 2017Li-Ion battery cells are known to have the potential to rup... moreBecause the science behind batteries are invalid when you take into account that logo. That's all it takes. If someone sees a ZTE or Samsung logo must be 'of course' an issue whereas with Apple it's "once in a blue moon". There's no accountability.

Don't expect anyone to look beyond the brand.

Anonymous, 02 Feb 2017Li-Ion battery cells are known to have the potential to rup... moreIts not Li-ion. Its Li-Po battery.

Better yet - don't leave your phone charging overnight. This kind of behavior is damaging to the battery and causes it to degrade much faster than it normally would. Charge it to full before going to bed and leave it unplugged on a bedside table or counter if possible. Then, if it needs charging in the morning, you can go ahead and charge it up.

Did she use an official Apple plug with the correct wattage and an official lightening to USB cable?
