mir, 02 Feb 2017No. What they need are 5.0 inch screen flagships that have ... moreI totally agree. The physical size for phones with 4.5-4.7 inch screens are ideal. But if they can reduce bezels so that the phone remains the same physical size and the screen size jumps to 5 inches. That would be perfect. More so if it can compete with Sony since they are the only compact phones that are close to flagship specs. Most compacts now don't have the specs to even make it to mid tier standards now

Trying to contain my enthusiasm. Always loved a compact phone (M7 in black is still my favorite in terms of looks and form factor). I've owned many phablets but usually I use those as work phones so I can answer mail on the go. My personal phone has grown bigger, but if there is a flagship worthy device (that is not Sony, burnt by the touch screen issue) I'd love to go back to a smaller form factor phone.

Now, if the G6 wi... moreIf G6 comes with SD 821 (mind you its still in rumor phase not known for a fact), its better to get the LG G5 which is similar to G6 in performance and cost 20% less than G6 which apparently cost 20% less than G5 at launch. The SD 821 and new design can make the alarm work with the phone turned off for all I care.

But LG is the only brand with so many consumers complaining of bootloop and its still didn't got fixed. G3,G4 and some G5 and V20 still gets bootloop. Google "bootloop" and you'll find half of the links are related to LG phones.
You're the one who seems to be making a half educated comment and I am the ignorant one. LG gets highlighted for bootloop only because their phones are at higher risk of getting bootloop than other manufacturers. As simple as that.

Good move, there is no perfect small form factor high-end phone sadly.. Closest are some sony models, iphone - thus they have weak battery life. (except iphone se, but it is overpriced imo)

Well, if it's really compact... But if it's "compact" like the LG G4c (almost 14x7cm) : no thanks.

This is more like it although im not gonna hold my breath as it may just turn out to be another underpowered low/mid range compact phone. hopefully the LG G6 compact will be as powerfull as its big brother. Apple have got it right in my opinion a 4.7" and 5.5" without a loss of power. why isnt there an Android equivalent? ok sony has come close but even there lastest compact was underpowered to its bigger brother.
I do agree that calling something plus instead of the smaller phone a mini or compact does sound better. But if LG call it something like LG G6C that to me doesnt sound like your getting less . fingers crossed roll on mwc

Now, if the G6 will be cheaper than the G5 (like LG said), and the Galaxy S8 will be more expensive than the S7 (like some trusted rumours stated), the SD 835 can make the alarm work with the phone turned off for all I care.
