Like the article says, it comes late in the game...it's already February (another 2-3 months and better phones in this segment are coming out), it should've been launched in November/December...
But let's see the price, that's a very important factor.

Any amount of cam megapixel, screen size and type, fingerprint scanner, features etc fall back on two things - SoC and software.

If this information is correct ,then Xiaomi will have 3 devices with SD 625 - Mi4prime,Redmi note 4 and this Mi5c.
I don't know how it works having same internals in 3 devices and competing against each other in house.
It's SoC and software which are heart and soul of a device.
