Disappointing! It would be better for Nokia to join Google for Android. I've been a Nokia fan for years but now I decide to quit.

Wow wow WoW...!
Who said that microsift should spend billions of dollars and try to buy Nokia?! Why do it the hard way? When an easy way or the trojan horse way is available?
My predictions;
Microsoft will benefit sooooo much. MeeGo will end dead as symbian.
Nokia will bring new features to wp7 if elop does not think the american way.
Nokia will regret this. Intell will get more and more desprate. Nokia will kill other wp7 manufacturers. Wp7 sales will go up exponentially. Wp7 will be the 4th or 3rd dominant platform. Nokia should have never chosen any sides here. Should adopt android. Because Im sure when there are multiple devices with the same features people tend to choose nokia cos they are more robust and featurefull than others. So chosing android and wp7 would gain nokia such a huge market share. But they simply blew it. I found a solution to nokias pathetic situation months age. I bought a samsung galaxy s ang put a nokia logo and nokia ringtone on it! Nokia is market leader. But for me samsung is the giant. Look at them. They are available on every os out there. Thats a market leafer mannerism.

S40 is better than wp7. No multitask, no copy paste, i wonder how this can be a smartphone os! go to hell wp7. . . .

Nokia moved a right pawn."Together shall we grow" stategy. A top of the notch OS and Mobile hardware. Both are giants in their field. When they unite for a reason we can see a positive outcome. The compedition is heating up. I bet on this aliance.

ummm...this is so messed up...its just that i've always been a fan of nokia and symbian. This doesn't mean that the advantages provided by the latest OS's didn't get my attention but i always thought that nokia could hit the high-end market with meego as their flagship OS. I understand that nokia has taken a fair amount of beating in terms of market share and profits but since nokia is like one of the biggest phone manufacturing compaq ever, i thought they'd be able to take the hit and compete in the high-end market with a completely new OS. I mean i loved what they did with the N900 and this phone is one mean machine and the only OS that can multitask better than maemo would be the webOS. The thought of what they could and can do with meego is whats been keeping me on tenterhooks waiting for their next flagship device.
I admit though that i do see the reason behind choosing WP7 as their flagship OS...it's just that Android is everywhere like literally...it's EVERYWHERE. If nokia had picked up on android too it would have been crazy !!...plus since android has been adopted by so many producers maybe nokia wanted to try something different.
As far as WP7 is concerned, i dont think its such a bad OS, maybe its a little immature now but i'd like to bring to light what a pathetic OS android was on the G1...give microsoft time and i'm sure they'll make WP7 a really scary OS. As for their partnership with nokia, i can only see some really amazing innovation and tech coming from the working together of two such giants. Lets cross our fingers and hope they dont take too long.
And nokia please dont give up on the symbian and meego platforms...i've been saving for the N9 from the moment i heard about it in the rumour mill.

I don't know why yall dissing wp7 I'm sure they will improve on it badly windows always has a joker they re bringing so much to the new nokia phone symbian nd meego useres re not lost has they still re under microsoft live market. They re putting the copy nd paste nd other criticised features on it so pls I think this is the iphone nd andriod killer I use andriod andriod looks like a cheap version of iOS windows looks unique nd slEek

i just don't get why nokia didn't just try to make symbian better, i mean it's not a bad operating system, just make it faster with more graphics and cool stuff, and update the ovistore with more worthy applications and there you have it the perfect thing, i mean i used symbian 2 and currently using symbian 3 on my n8, way way better, why didn't they just made a whole lot better like android poor nokia what a mess
