Anonymous, 04 Feb 2017Sony begging Samsung to use their battery. LolSony doesn't make batterys anymore. Sony sold its whole battery division in 2016. Its battery division was still suffering from all the exlpoding battery problems between 2006-2014. Plus the lawsuits from HP, Dell and Toshiba regarding exploding Sony batterys in their products.

If the Samsung S8 explode one or two units, the Sammy will blame to the Japanese battery, they will trolling the Japan's Murata battery can't compare with Samsung SDI. This is what we call a dirty marketing strategy.

Samsung making flawless smartphone can't without Japanese battery, how shame they are and how the comsumer can identify which battery is made from Murata? I think Samsung must use all the Samsung SDI battery, because consumer must nitpicking to the battery origin.

Wish there is a way to figure out which phone have the better Japanese battery. I got a feeling it will be for the more important Chinese market only.

Good news, Murata is darn good manufacturer (e.g. condensers) behind the scenes of many high-end phones.

Wonder why such relatively small portion is outsourced to Japan. For marketing to be able to say that batteries are made in Japan to calm nerves?
