Actually Samsung want to test their Samsung SDI battery can fulfill their require of the battery demands, so they let Japanese do some battery for them to compare the quality, I think.

Read your own statement "Where is the guy that tell samsung will make their own battery to prevent "Note 7 again"? "
              - you are looking for the guy who said Samsung will make their own batteries and there it is, it is very clear on the article that Samsung SDI will make the majority of the batteries for the S8...
              - you statement implies that Samsung will no longer use their own batteries...
              - now your claiming that you know Samsung will make their own battery and the guy said they will not outsource...

              EXCUSES...

"Samsung will outsource between two and eight percent of the total number of batteries needed to power the total amount of Galaxy S8 devices made."

"The vast majority of batteries will be made by Samsung SDI, a division of Samsung that produces batteries for its own smartphones."

Sounds like the Note 7 batteries that exploded where not made by Samsung but they don't want to name and shame to pass on the blame.

"Will" means this phone is not yet ready and it's two months away from release. Why are smartphone companies rush releasing their products? They should take notes from the film industry.
