Don't know why, but I don't like this design. Somehow reminds I'd an earlier Acer Android phone, don't remember that model's name.

OdysseyTag, 03 Feb 2017Agreed, this dual-camera thing is a gimmick that's get long... moreYou are totally right. Dual camera is just an useless nonsense. Good OIS and good low light performance are the important things. Just use the best quality single camera setup.

If you want wide angle or optical zoom photos, you can buy a cover / case where you can attach the desired lens. You have single camera, but you still can take optical zoom or wide angle photos with it. This means that the photo quality is consistent, plus you still have OIS. It's much better than the dual camera setup, where the secondary camera is always inferior, has much worse low-light performance, worse quality, no OIS, etc. (With the dual camera setup, you can't utilize the benefits of the main camera if you use the secondary camera.)

Hope it'll have Sd835. expect a bigger battery and more importantly battery life in league with others. but amoled looks too good to skip. So better get a Mi6 if amoled, or OP4 which will be definitely amoled or S8.

LG fans desperately trying to justify how good this looks.
I suggest you guys just wait for V30 or buy the V20.

To be fair it looks pretty good. Unfortunately it also looks something that came out in 2016. (in terms of both aesthetic and specs). I don't mind not having removable battery. Even when I had a phone with one, I literally never carried an extra battery on me anyway.

Quick charging and external power banks (can also use for other devices) are much more convenient in my opinion.

I was likely to purchase this when it becomes available, but the decider for me, will be the camera. If it is indeed the same setup, without any major upgrades or improvements, I shall have to say no. We all have our preferences when it comes to phones, and mine is the camera. The G4 and G5 was exquisite when it came to imaging, particularly in the manual mode. I want to see something new that pushes the boundaries once again, but I cannot see that happening this time around.

Anonymous, 03 Feb 2017I think LG is going to get my money this round (given that ... moreThe reason why it's being reported to have the 821 is due to Samsung buying up all the available 835 for the S8. Therefore, the most logical chip would be the 821. There could be the 830, but the 821 is more likely.

OdysseyTag, 03 Feb 2017Agreed, this dual-camera thing is a gimmick that's get long... moreThe objective about dual camera is actually to mimics DSLR's bokeh effect, which is heavily influenced by focal length and aperture. Unlike DSLR, cramped space in smartphone makes you can't adjust the two and only has them fixed, that's why they need second lens to cheat with it.

I'm also not fan of dual camera though..

I'm going to LG this time and screw Sony .

Agreed, this dual-camera thing is a gimmick that's get long in the tooth now. If it were that 'innovative' I'd be seeing it on DSLRs, GoPros, Webcams, Drone cams, Camcorders, Feature-film cameras, CCTV cams and the likes. I'd much rather see a move towards optical zoom capablity and Xenon flash lights than this.

That dual camera setup makes the phone so ugly man!
Not everyone is hyper obsessed with Camera quality and specially the stupid selfie (look at me I'm so desperate for attention) Camera.
On my phone I've deleted the Camera app for example..

Anonymous, 03 Feb 2017Hope it uses f1.7 ...More wider aperture increases chroma in the image. F1.8 is fine enough for me.
