Android 5.1 here and won't see an update. Kinda annoys me the lumia 435 I sold still gets windows 10 updates, its a shame the app situation was actually decreasing, if you look past the app situation it's the most stable fastest system out there. Highly unlikely but I would love it if they improved the app situation one day.

Things don't work, app broke, some feature crap out.
Worse of all.. waiting for updates for the fix is even slower. Thats the primary reason android user do not even want to update.

I don't use iOS, I don't have a custom ROM, and it might be that my phone will never get it.

But in general the 2015 generation of Snapdragon SOCs is a disaster because of overheating(in comparison with 2014 and 2016 SOCs). Sony Xperia M4 Aqua here and Snapdragon 615 can be hot even in instagram app.
