Honestly surprised with AdrianDC's build of 7.1.1 (LineageOS) for the 2011 Xperia Arc (S).
It's the best ROM the phone ever had! Yes, not even the older versions of Android performed better.
The point being: those who cast doubts about the improvements in Android (the core OS) should really think again and pay close attention to the results gathered with the much older devices.
PS: I do own other devices, they just don't have the same wow factor as running 7.1.1 in proper *usable* condition on a 2011 device.

Want Android nougat... But My phone (Sony Xperia M4 Aqua) won't have an update after 6.0.1 and there is no stable custom ROM for this phone...option 5

My 2014 Nexus 6 got 7.1.1 as it's last OS-update. 7.0 was available months ago.

My LG G2 isn't getting Nougat. Peter, next time include more broad versions in the poll, or readers will be unhappy to be left out. Custom rom option wasn't necessary, TWO options "Im upgrading" weren't necessary, solo "anything else" option was preferred but "only for iOS users" was made instead.
Your choice of choices was terrible, Peter.

But since Google is the owner of android and third party OEM's are just using androids AOSP source from Google then it takes a lot of time to update... Just look at Samsung, it releases almost every device every week... How do u think they gonna update all devices? They need thousands of developers for this.

If it is by region restriction, just use Opera VPN app and connect to Canada/Germany and update will pop up... Then you can uninstall opera vpn.
