Samsung could just skip the 8 type of battery test to reduce the selling price, lately.

Anonymous, 04 Feb 2017You can blame Apple for the ridiculous high prices of today... moreNot really Apple. If people wouldn't buy iPhones so much then prices would be lower. It's todays customer who thinks that they need to pay for phone so much money. But most of the people still pay for status not for their need.

AnonD-27765, 03 Feb 2017I will never buy a phone that costs more than 600 dollars. ... moreExactly. With the economy of scale, AND technology advancements, the price of smartphones should have gone DOWN, not up. Paying 900 EUR that samsung asks, is just to throw them away... financing ubiquitous advertising, by the way! not environmentally friendly.

            Apple is just doing business.

Is it true S6 edge plus comes with 4gb ram but you take it out of box and 3gb are being used already?

Sony, LG, Asus, Xiaomi and Huawei have tons of functions too. Their UIs are far lighter than TW.
Optimization on Galaxy phone is poor.

Before this ,alot of people bought samsung due to cheap reasonable price, but now they try to rob more money from buyer that trust them at unreasonable price, just look at new A series, price is unreasonable, and now with s8,really overprice and desprate spec to get consumer attention

YowYow, 03 Feb 2017I am a heavy gamer and editor, I use my phone a lot but 2GB... moreYour phone is slow. You don't want to admit it to yourself, but it *is* slow, significantly so.
Every time you open a new app you'd have to wait for it to reload. That happens very often to you. To me it never happens (OnePlus 3T owner). RAM amount plays a huge role in android responsiveness...

Yes you can do everything with 2GB of RAM, but if we are to pay top dollar we also want instant responsiveness. Waiting for background apps to reload is so 2014...

totally agree with the price being a ripoff , and when a phone is making pancakes I want an IR also.

Or people who realise they are being ripped off. When phones that are almost half the price have more RAM than a top priced flagship something is very wrong in my opinion. I call it a ripoff.

Also check out the One plus 3 vs s7 edge videos on YouTube. The OP3 is clearly faster and more responsive with its 6GB of RAM. And then just to cap it all we find out some markets are likely to get the enhanced specs. that we supposedly don't need. That is just adding insult to injury.

I am a heavy gamer and editor, I use my phone a lot but 2GB RAM is more than enough for me, the prices of these phones might be reasonable for the internal memory and other features like dust/water/shock proof, curved edges and stuff but for tech geeks and people like me, the prices of phones like iPhone 7 and Samsung's OPed devices are not typical, IMO tho, it's for you to understand and judge

I will never buy a phone that costs more than 600 dollars. Last year's phones are too good already and now costs reasonably. There's no point buying the latest ones with exorbitant prices.
