Quite confusing, because on my Galaxy S7 edge (Exynous variant) I get a significant boost in battery life and I'm not the only one. The majority of people claims overall noticeable improvement in battery life without power saving mode in QHD resolution.
For me on marshmallow I wouldn't get pass the 3-4h screen on time, now on nougat I get 4h30-6h00 without any powersaving feature.

I'm not surprised to be honest. Samsung makes great phones but fails big in the speed and quality of the updates. I own a S4 (not my daily driver) and i remember when the Lollipop arrived i noticed a severe battery life drop. Also, some features became worst like the fabulous HDR feature from the original release. So, i'm not surprised that Samsung didn't do a good job with the latest update. Sad but true!

I updated my S7 Edge to Nougat and i am experience the loss of battery life, I guess its the payback by Samsung over the cost of updating our phone. The other thing is its a business plan of Samsung, as the new phone S8 is coming out pretty soon they have to make your existing phone less good less attractive so that we will buy the new one that is simply it, no rocket science. SHAME ON SAMSUNG YOUR ARE DISGUSTING.........

What about the performance of the Galaxy S7 edge after receiving Nougat? Maybe the extra power usage is for the performance boost.

BUT if you custom rommed to ace2nutzer's 4.4.4 rom, you would see an insane improvement, Seriously. Anything above KitKat is just shit. I used Lollipop from and marshmallow for 2 months, then I went back to 4.4.4 and it was an insane improvement. I am not sure why I didn't keep up with 4.4.4 lol

In two months S8 will be released..so this must be a scheme by the companies by reducing the battery life with late updates..More the update , the more slower your phone operates and the less battery backup it provides.

Well, if the update did this to the already better performing exynos version, I'm sure that a lot of people would like to know the effect on the already poorer performing snapdragon version.

Actually whole gsmarena and people commenting here didn't thought about fast charging side effects Many people have suffered from it Every kind of fast charging available Now (can't say about future ones ) sucks they degrade upto 70 % in one year For me replaceable battery should be there with fast charging Nah i am not saying i am fan of lg g5 because it still had bad battery with replaceable advantage
