After this. Who will even buy the Note 8? Going on 2 years without a new Note phone. The S8? I could see a difference in sales due to concern.

AnonD-453252, 07 Feb 2017OMG, it was the batteries?! Maybe that's why they're explod... moreWe are talking about a big and reputable battery manufacturer with many many experty and experince of manufacturing miilion2 of hp battery.how can it happen ?, the only acceptable answer may be it want to have maximum mAH and minimum size which is not quite possible with today technology. otherwise it is other reason.

Haha seems many people not believe in this..... okla samsung every year pay many many tax to government (biggest contributor). If it is battery problem all fault is to battery supplier and the solution is just change supplier for battery. otherwise.......

I think this is way for Samsung to wash their hands about note 7. If you say this is true, than better made in china rather than made in S.Korea. So buy things that made in china, don't buy made in s.korea. Note 7 from china have no problem.

The south Korean government justice system is such a biggest joke in the world. Yearly the president pardons the convicted criminals and this led to them taking chances that whatever the SK people do, they will never be penalised seriously. So, the corruption runs on generations after generations without fail.
SO I say samsung = south korean government.

While Apple has conflict with US government about privacy and national safety/defense, Samsung collaborates and have good relation with South Korean government.
I can see one reason why Samsung dominate the smartphone market.
