Fingerprint scanner position is really awkward.it may be comfortable for a right handed person but for a left hander its really hard to use and possible to drop it.it should be on the upper middle like the huawei smartphones.really bad decision samsung.i was always happy with front mounted fingeeprints.but this one is dissapointed.

Give the designer an extra cup of coffee and one more try to replace the fingerprint scanner. But from the inventor of the pocket-heater it will still be a good idea if you want a stamp of grease from your finger in every photo.

AnonD-600084, 08 Feb 2017Sorry ,but you need to do more research, oldest new can help... moreDid Sony invent Waterproofing? or chrome finish? S8 has chrome finish? Are you basing your claims on the renders? Or you just had first hand info about S8's color options? And where did you got the news that Sony has share in Murata? As per wiki, They both signed MoU in last July and total transfer of business from Sony to Murata will be finished by this April. Okay S8 uses battery made by Murata as per the article posted in GSMA, not Sony. You may go read that article again. Even then what's the issue with that? Regarding waterproofing and stereo speakers you may call other companies got inspired from Sony but not copied. Know the difference between getting inspired and copying. Samsung and co just followed Sony's example of providing water protection for their phones. If you think that as a copy please go ahead and enjoy, even Sony won't consider that Samsung and Apple copied them in Waterproofing thing.

As fa... moreSorry ,but you need to do more research, oldest new can help you know, sony still have a share in batteries department even murata have take over it ,so they have a company share,so s8 will use sony batteries, the s8 image colour show that it copy z5p chrome mirror finish , a few years ago they copy a water resistant that sony already have, and then they will add an autofocus into their front camera, where sony make it first, and before this they even try to copy front stereo speaker, which sony have it since z2, and still lot of copying and following more...

RaghavaZ, 08 Feb 2017Yeah i do. I won't be making blind claims as some fanboys d... moreI really don't see that as a "problem", Samsung getting their batteries supplies with another manufacturer, they manufacturer so many things for almost ALL the other brands, let's not forget that they're one of the best semiconductor developer and manufacturer in the world, DRAM, SoC, processing technologies and manufacturing of such, they do have one of the most sophisticated manufacturing and R&D of such in the world, I'm not a f* funboy, I just know that Samsung is one of the biggest companies in the RAMO(portuguese, translate yourself) of technology.

Well looks seamless. But now i think antenna bands looks dicrating, need paint on it, or make stylier. Because bands is old fasion. And also don't make look seemless, when have you have miror back and corners, good screen, dont need more details on phone like plastic bands. If you rid off or make stylier it make phone look like Vertu or Sirocco Gold. Stylish and elegant looking.

Gixxer, 07 Feb 2017Wow..you must be new here..I suggest you do a little more r... moreYeah i do. I won't be making blind claims as some fanboys do. What's your point here? S8 has Sony made batteries? or Samsung copied Sony? Even if you consider Murata as Sony, according to some reports Samsung would be taking just 8% of batteries required for their S8 from Murata. That's not a big deal. You had done enough research here no then please tell others about it. All will get to know.

I would really like to see the samsung branding on the front and back, as a lot of cheap phones dont carry any sort of brand, I know that in some markets the no logo devices are prefere, but in my country that is not the case

Samsung will have Sony make a portion of th... more"According to Korea Economic Daily, a source related to the industry claims that Samsung will source a portion of batteries from The Murata Manufacturing Company. This is a Japanese manufacturer of batteries which took over Sony’s battery division, last summer." Sony sold its battery division to Murata last July, 2016, even before Note7's release. So Sony isn't the battery supplier for S8 in any case. You should read the article before posting the link as a proof of your statement. And the link clearly states the battery supplier as Murata not Sony. Please read properly.
