With internal memory and SD support capacity increasing like crazy every year..this is fine. Either way it is new and will catch on. Funny seeing all the sammy boys hating on it and Samsung will probably include it later on

Imagine the storage that it takes, probably 1 GB of storage for a 10s video !

But 15fps playback is useless. We need at least 30, better 60

        amazing!

This is slow-motion 2.0, as Dualpixel autofocus is phase detection autofocus 2.0. Congratulations Sony!

Sony should use this sensor for their upcoming 4k phones. Sony phones desperately need a better sensor and optics. They have good camera software ( front facing camera of XZ is class leading ) but terrible sensor/optics and slow emmc storage system kill their phones. I wish they should use this tech in a new 16 mpx sensor. That would be awesome and don't sell this tech to samesung. Samsung sucks.

Shadow Snypa786, 07 Feb 2017A 1080p 60fps video takes alot of storage compared to a 108... more1080 60fps în general use 50-60% more storage than 1080 30fps...then 1080 1000fps will use 1700-1800% more storage... Clearly you will need 256gb ufs2.0 and it will fill fast , so you will need to take the shots somewhere... PC with huge HDD or maybe Google Photos (they don't say the maximum framerate they store, but 1080p resolution is max for unlimited storage)... So it has great potential to do some awesome videos, shockingly artistic for a phone... But a nightmare to make them and store the and edit them...

But why would you want a phone that's for productivity to have a 1000fps shooter?

I'm all for power but if I want decent pictures and videos I get the right equipment for the job, Eg digital camera and video recording equipment.

Im guessing but at 1000fps you would need a hefty memory card to record anything half decent! Probably half a terabyte if that exists yet!

Omg, this is going to be in the next Sony flagship, just think 21MP and 1/2.3" sounds familiar, it's going to be a game changer. :o

Sony's camera hardware is still one of,if not the best...but i really, really dont understand how they can mess up their smartphones..

A 1080p 60fps video takes alot of storage compared to a 1080p 30fps, don't want to imagine how much storage these 1,000fps videos will take up.
