I have never tried an WP7 phone but i might try one if they make a phone with 16gb - 32gb storage as standard and also if there is a good camera on board. and if they build it with the same build quality as the N8

AnonD-291, 18 Feb 2011lol...... first there were fans who said nokia will rock 20... moreThe almighty brand used to be known to release dozens of so called "new" phones every month. Now it didn't even release a single "new" device in MWC...

Seems they're worse than some Chinese brands these days.

AnonD-1024, 19 Feb 2011Just check the news portion you will know...nokia sold 106.... moreAlso depends on the definition of "smartphone"....as the almighy brand would put anyting running on S60 (if not some S40) as "smartphones".

Though how many S60/S40 users only use the phone for voice and text and not even knowing what Symbian is and what it can do? You might be surprised.

Svetlio, 19 Feb 2011Remmember when nokia released the 7650? no one expected it.... moreRemember the Motorola DynaTAC? Noone expected it, but ALL phone makers started to follow.

Remember the micro-USB plug on the Motorola Q9/V8/V9? Noone expected it, but it set the standard for most, if not all, to follow, except the almighty brand, who insists on some phones still only offers the micro-USB plug for data only but NOT charge via USB!

AnonD-751, 20 Feb 2011I can't believe some ignorant thought nokia would take over... moreGuess the following statements should be correct:

MS (Windows/office) users don't necessary use the almighty brand's mobile phones.

Most almighty brand mobile phone users are users of MS (Windows/office) products

Mac users aren't likely to use the almighty brand's phones, but may likely be using almighty brand's products like MS Office

So who is (MUCH) bigger? Microsoft or the almighty brand?

I have NOT bought a single almighty brand device in the past 13 years, yet all the computers I've used so far have MS Windows/Office in them. One can easily survive without the almighty brand but not necessary Microsoft, as of 2011.

Do hope Android and other OS's start to takeover Windows, and someome else comes out with a product better than Office.

Andy Burgin, 20 Feb 2011Nokia as made the Right Choice as if they would have choose... more@Andy,
W7 has lots of backdrops like bluetooth file transfer, themes, apps media support like DIVX.
Nokia has to overcome these limitations, and its very hard to overcome. for example in Android why I prefer Samsung is complete multimedia support(plays almost all files incl avi etc)and nice screen and nice camera etc...
W7 limitations will be very hard to remove its a retarded software, by taking android nokia could have entered into competition with other mobile manufactures

I'm not sure what do you, guys, think about Nokia customising WP7... Adding Nokia tune? - That's not customisation! You will never see in ANY WP7 mass storage, bluetooth file transfer, maybe not even flash... Nokia use to be top notch in connectivity. I guess, this is over from now...

I have an Android phone, and a good one - Galaxy S. Do you think I'm happy with that? Nope... I'm not! In the same way as Apple and Microsoft are obsessed with their app store, Google is obsessed with its magical cloud. IMO, the last "honest" smartphones on the market were Samsung S 8500 Wave and Nokia C7, as I dont like the smartphone interpretation in the N8. All the next smartphones from now on, will be just clouds extensions, and that's sad... I can't resist not saying that...
