AnonD-638352, 14 Feb 2017The S7 hasn't recieved the Nougat update everywhere and we ... moreS7's already got Nougat. It's just taking a while for it to rollout for all variants. Same thing will happen with S6 and Note 5. Some variants will get it months later.

Cassy O, 14 Feb 2017Galaxy J series? Seriously? Wow...Why not galaxy j series get 7.0?
For your information,j5 and j7 is mid range phones.
With 2gb ram and 64 bit processor, they out box with 6.0!
If a3 2016 with 1.5gb get 7.0 then j5 16 j7 16 will get 7.0.
J7 2016 is relative higher midrange,litle under a5 16 and a7 16.

I think purchasing Asus Zenfone Max must be one of the worst decisions I've ever made in my life. Most things are great until you notice the flaws. One is the very fragile screen glass. It's GG4 so it should be able to survive a waist height concrete down-facing drop, but sadly it didn't, thus Asus's Service Center is very limited here in the Philippines so I had to replace it with a class A one instead. It was fine but screen off features like double tap to wake and draw to do something don't work anymore. I got used to it, though, but the second is the SIM issue. After several months of use, I suddenly lost signal when inside my house, but outside, I get some, but only barely and inconsistent (sometimes loses signal but sometimes don't). And now, this software update will be an issue. For the same price, I can get a J7 with better hardware and will receive Nougat earlier than my Zenfone Max. I guess I shouldn't have fallen with the crazy battery specs either, and I'm regretting it so much. I'm going to finish my payment contract to this phone then I'll sell it and buy the J7. To everyone that read until here, thank you so much for caring and taking time to read my long essay. I truly appreciate it. Wish you the best and have a nice day :D
