It's obvious that just in one new generation iPhone won't be upgraded in all those different aspects which we've been seeing in the news for the past several months. People are constantly spreading false rumours just in order to satisfy other people who are eager for new iPhone series.

I believe that new battery tech, modular phone and wireless charge, is future what we need (primary needed maybe) but for AR or VR, just for fun and not what people needed most.

Anonymous, 14 Feb 2017My experience says: switch within android. iOS is way worse... moreI can sympathise with both of you, I used to be an early Note user 2&3 amazing handsets! Then went to IPhone 4&4s they were ok but nothing special. I hated Apples pay for everything and no freedom approach or greed as we call it in the real world. Also I hated iTunes it's very user unfriendly and a terrible media software.
The only good thing about Apple phones is that they hold there resale value somewhat. I then had a s6 edge (terrible battery life) onto a IPhone 6plus, To flimsy and just didn't get on with it and all the Apple traits came home to roost. Now I have a plastic Z5 it really doesn't feel like a premium phone at all,Which at time of purchase was worth £600 and now 13 months later is probably worth £100 if im lucky!
Until Sony make proper premium phones with premium materials I won't purchase a Sony phone again.

At least Apple might actually innovate something new for a change..... But sadly anything media wise from Apple goes through iTunes and that means it always costs you and using a horrendous unfreindly media interface!

Anonymous, 14 Feb 2017AR is a terrible gimmick and will never catch up. There is ... moreI'm neither fan of AR nor VR. Just that some days ago Apple said AR is better than VR and I knew it will be in future iphones. Though wasn't sure it'll come in next iPhone.
Mobile VR is useless,, one can get bored in 2 days. None of my friends with Samsung VR headsets played with them more than a week. OK, it is really cheap. but real VR experience is vive, which is still not complete as I think it should be 4k. And still, the experience is not worth the price of vive VR headset, let alone the pc requirements. Your old laptop won't work with it, and only graphic card upgrade costs as much as VR headset ie 800. Will buy a VR when it will get rid of those wires (not the backpack idea) all the hardware being in the headset alone and sharper displays and still cost should be no more than 1000. And I think it'll take at least 10 years lol.
