Ok Apple, do you want to stop to show the repair process? Or to stop to sell the repair materials?
The 1st is not hard. People wil find out if their phone is REAL or has something hiding. SO expect more reject from them.
The 2nd one... if Apple wants to monopolize that aspect, I am gladly say: SCREW YOURSELF!
If you want to stop to use a phone that could be repaired to buy another OVEREXPENSIVE one, you are totally wrong!
Sorry guys, but I won't allow to see people acting like jerks to mistreat the clients like that.

And this is why their products do not get repaired in most countries. If you are lucky and under warranty - good for you, they will just give you another one, because they can't fix it at your local points. If you don't have warranty and just want to fix you stuff -> send it thousands of kilometers away, then wait for months. "Customer friendly" company as it always has been - Apple. :)

You might as well ban all forms of DIY. Ban sales of handsaws to anyone other than an Apple approved handyman. It's health and safety as you might cut yourself and bleed to death.

As good as the intention of a bill like this is. You can make sure that crooks like aPple will find ways to circumvent it. Like gluing everything together in a way so the phone literally gets irreparable and thus force people to buy a new device.
Most likely with some 'buy back discount' to persuade the costumer not to buy a repairable phone as a replacement...

now this will show customers how much they have been milked, I don't think any oem who claims to care about their customers needs will ever be against their need to have their device fixed at a place that is most effective and cost efficient for the customer. this here gon be interesting to see how the law as well will be protecting consumers rights coz if this is the kind of results all the way then I guess customers are declared by the courts to be milked and as u know oems will be even more frugal in "uber boning" us since the courts allowed them. its almost like the law hold us down to get boned all helpless with no one able to intervene since the courts are our protectors. get ready fellas err'bady bout to get raveged by oems now :(

Why wouldn't you want to fix your own phone? The real point is that these companies that are trying to stop the right to repair are worried you will see just how much they over charge you for them to fix it!

I support Right to Repair bill but at least iPhone is repairable. Glued down Android phones make opening the phone impossible.

1. If someone managed to open Apple device, probably know how to handle that.
2. But still even if normal person with brain know how to deal with it, it would be nice if Apple would stop using so much glue and double side tape to keep everything inside. Not not mention that such practice should be baned because instead of replacing one module, you need to replace bigger part or whole device.

The reason they are opposing the bill is because they won't have any more income from charging customer with expensive repairs. :)

Greedy smartphone makers lobbying against it. If we could repair our own phones, they couldn't sell warranties or expensive repair services. The bottom line is always more important than the consumer.

Those weren't legit reasons at all. Really, you're afraid people will hurt their hand or accidentally set their phones a light? You can't dummy-proof the world, the bill would have far more beneficial implications than negatives. I'd understand if Apple iPhones were still exclusive phones for the privileged but they are just about everywhere now - finding "accredited or authorised" repair outlets which charge an arm and a leg to fix seemingly simple issues or components isn't... nevermind this is Apple we're talking about.
