We cann't tell that microsoft is too late for smartphone. Smartphone is something which will evolve continously for many years ( untill world exists ). One day will come, then everything will be shrinked to mobile phone, including our personal computers. personal computers run virtually in mobile and using dump terminal we can work like normally. Still lot of time is there to develop and nokia will have good future in joining with microsoft.

If this is a sign that Nokia is on its way down and out, I'm glad. They've become so complacent and non competitive in the No. 1 position for too long and they really let me down with the N900.
I bought the N900 and regretted it from the first month. For instance, the internal clock gains 2 minutes per week! Skype doesnt work properly on it and it was supposed to have been built around Skype.
As soon as I have the money I will go for an ANDROID Smartphone. I'm a business user and I think the Moto Pro may be a good choice.
Any comments please?

Daddy, 18 Feb 2011It will be very stupid for anyone to buy any Nokia smartpho... moreVery true. Nokia caused their own downfall. People didn't like what they were getting, and switched to other brands.

[deleted post]Now that Android has passed Symbian in marketshare, people are going to stop saying "Symbian is old and dead" and start with "Android is stupid and dead".

AnonD-2008, 19 Feb 2011Im not really against Nokia and microsoft partnership, but ... moreJust wait a little longer(may be half to 1 year). Microsoft had just wake up from their dream that they dont have lots of M-Zombie and failed to copy the way Apple done to their I-Zombie(the apple logo itself manage to sell a product even it is sh*tty and useless with lots of limits purposely set). Now that theu awake, they will implement those features soon to prevent the whole ship from sank.

Im not really against Nokia and microsoft partnership, but WP7 does not have bluetooth file transfer, file manager, and divx codec support. This is what Im exactly worried about- i rely on them heavily so i don;t have to carry so many cables, every thing done wirelessly. N-series+symbian has been famous for its entertainment capabilities and this is quite a setback.

The E7 looks so amazing. Nokia should update the software before release it, the actual software doesn't make it fair. Come on Nokia, fix the homescreens swyping, put a decent virtual keyboard and FIX THE STUPID DEFAULT BROWSER! Symbian would be really nice if Nokia do that asap.

I am not sure what they intend to achieve with this move.. but .. I sure am getting tired of waiting for ever for the E7 to hit the stores.. c'mon NOKIA show some agility..!! After all u've already sunk in resources to get this product built.. now sell it..!!

Knowing that the end is near isn't going to help symbian at all. No one wants to go down with the ship and frankly no one but the captain has to either. WP7 FTW.
They should be glad they pulled the plug befor S^3 was barely out of the water.
