Anonymous, 22 Feb 2017The details of the new chips already released last year. They whare not relased nor confirmed it's all still just a rumour mill. Besides think September availability for S660 is very probable not to cannibalise sails of flag S83x and on time to undercut the X30 (if their be anything to undercut as MTK seems to see lo demand for it). Think I can claim the X12 LTE modem assumptions of mine pretty easily as they already have it on 14nm FinFET & rooting of older X10 would actually cost them to much to be commercially justified. Take a look at the table:

On the other hand we know their is no any significant architectural changes regarding GPU so its safe to assume how A512 will be a A510 with faster clocks and backed up with LP DDR4 probably enough to score additional 30~40% performance & they don't need more than that to compete as MTK hideously idiotic went with older Rogue instead for G71 in the upcoming X35 SoC's.

Even on benchmarks? Xiaomi handsets are always above other phones carrying the same chipset. Mi5 was an exception! Coz there was op3 to beat.

Also s7 camera is way ahead den dat of mi5s.i know mi5s uses sony imx378 bt pixel too has dat and Google software processing does way better den xiaomi.

Bt sammy does good software optimisation in camera department. Whereas Xiaomi's own miui is boon and a curse too at same tym.

Unfortunately GPU will remain the same with only bump in frequency but also their will be a benefit from a faster RAM. All in all in CPU department it will be faster than S820 siblings (especially SMP).

Samsung uses a bit better lens (1.9ff vs 2.0ff) & certainly does a better software optimizations for camera. On the other hand performance wise Xiaomi is better (all do far from really good tuned which makes me wonder what Samsung is doing not that I really want to know).

The chip would also employ an Adreno 512 GPU, X10 baseband, and two channel LPDDR4X-1866 memory and UFS 2.1 flash memory. It is almost the same level as SD820.
