Why? Apple was never innovative. Simple as that. They don't have the "originals" on their devices except for their processors and chipsets. Nothing more, nothing less.

And their updates are just part of their marketing. Just because they get updates doesn't mean they get updates or that it made their phone any more advanced than the phone that didn't but was already ahead.

All I'm saying is that Apple have best marketing and they really know what majority of people wants. But Android is one big mess so far with updates. And you can't compare apple service with other companies service.
But this case just shows that nothing is perfect not even iphone's :)

My Nokia from 15 years ago had a file explorer.. there is no reason iphones shouldn't have it now.
