Art, 26 Feb 2017If SONY actually releases this phone with all the rumored s... moreFollowing up my earlier post of FEB. 26 regarding the SONY Xperia XZ Premium:
Now that MWC has come and gone looks like we now know all about the new SONY flagship. SONY has finally made the needed improvements in RAM (up from 3 to 4 GB), but the jury is still out on camera quality, and as far as I know, SONY has done nothing to improve their customer service/support experience, and there is still no fingerprint sensor on this $800 US market phone. Really SONY? What are you thinking?. The phone will be available through the usual retailers (Amazon, Best Buy, etc.) since SONY closed all their own retail stores several years ago, leaving customers nowhere to go for local hometown support, like Apple. This is an area SONY must address to get on top of the game, yet they refuse to do so. Furthermore, SONY needs this home run very badly, but they continue to overprice their products, thus shooting themselves in the foot year after year, and then wonder why nobody buys their phones.
In conclusion, if the camera is good, they may actually have a pretty good phone, but they still need a lot of serious work in the area of customer service/support, pricing, and marketing. Best of luck to SONY.

yeah man the new XZ premium and the colors for the new xz are so nice. Just matserpiece and beauty to behold. it looks really really good and thats not even getting into all the camera technology this phone provides that nothing else can touch, whetehr its the rgbc, the megapixels(sensor size), video stabilization, new dram sensor 4k 60fps recording and 1k frame slow mo and front facing camemra (13mp as much as iphones rear). not to mention qnovo battery, ip68, hi res audio and build in Noice canceling chip for headphoes.
this phone is too crazy and people don't realize it. and now the premium has 4k hdr? sounds insane.

AnonD-39937, 27 Feb 2017S8/S8+ will launch in 29 march...in shelves on 15 april the... morePhones of Sony and Samsung have been different recently, but, Samsung flagship is 700 at launch , Sony is 800. but when Sony is really a viable, Samsung is 50 cheaper. This makes a great difference, because recently, Sony is not clearly superior to Sammy to charge 20% extra. It is equal at best. Secondly, for x premium, it will launch late, and note will be on the corner as I said.
Note that I'm comparing xzs to S8. And xzs is not "superior" to s

Design is important, but some people including me prefer to buy something less obvious.

But they are somewhat unique looking just as new Xperias. All those Samsungs, Apples, Pixels, Huaweis, HTC, Motorolas, Lenovos, Xiaomis, One+, etc are looking quite the same nowadays, copying each other on and on.

People buy Xperias and some other brands to....... morehonestly LG phones are ugly monstisitiies. What were they thinking designing the lgg5? and what about the UI ? Horrible. HTC and Sony are the two companies that work the hardest. LG does too, but they are just desperate for sales now. The lgg6 seems like an improvment but I think its too late.
HTC 10 is the best phone htc has made for its sound quality and everything else even though its design isn't anything to boast its not ugly either.
SOny is king for design. nokia lumia 930 was also very nice looking phone.

If SONY actually releases this phone with all the rumored specs, such as 4-6GB RAM, 3500 battery or better, mirror finish back, better & faster camera, etc. it could be a home-run, and God knows SONY really needs a home-run in the worst way, and they need it now. I hope the colors are attractive...I'd love to see a stainless steel body with a mirror finish back....how cool! The main thing to be aware of would be improvements in RAM and camera speed/image quality. SONY has not been competitive in these areas for several years. Also, if SONY really wants a home-run, they need to price this phone right, back it up with world-class world-wide customer support, and make it available everywhere right from day 1, especially in the USA. Also, for heaven's sake, give us the fingerprint scanner on US models. If SONY can finally do these things, I will definitely be interested because this phone will finally be competitive with Samsung S7/8 and Apple iPhone 7/8. I want to buy SONY, but only if they get it right this time....no BS and no excuses. Give us the phone we want!

Bezels? The bezels are like the long hoods of some classic calls..not for everyone,but they speak design at its best. Go Sony!
