26 February 2017
This year's wide isn't as wide as last year's wide, but resolution's gotten a bump.

Even after many years, Nokia had to shrink the sensor size of 1020 compared to 808

LG/Samsung/Apple/HTC/Sony had all the time they needed to launch a phone with a much larger sensor but they choose not to, why? I can only assume that Sony doesn't want to do that or else it may interfere with the sales of its RX100 series. Not sure.

Don't forget the abysmal post processing we're getting these days with Samsung/LG/Sony phones.
Apple, HTC, and Google are going towards natural post processing, which I really like. Google being the nicest and most natural I've seen, especially with HDR+.

I've owned many Samsung Galaxy S series phones but the only one that I owned that had such a nice camera quality was the Galaxy S4 Zoom. I still have pictures taken with it and the shots were/are superb! Sensor size was 1/2.3 but the post processing was remarkably natural/lifelike and zooming in 10 times was so gratifying to have in a phone. It was a touch too big though (S5 Zoom fixed that) and it had an issue where dust entered below the glass so I sold it.

I have a Sony RX100 series now and it's a lovely pocketable camera and no phone has that quality, but still, wish it was slimmer.

Both are very really good on this one and haven't you read reviews it is already better than the S7 and on par with Pixel.

Somehow they always find a way to disappoint the public with their stupid decisions. Camera department was one of the greatest selling points of LG. Now it's crap with those 3,2" sensor size and 13 MP thing.

First two set of daylight wide angle shots are disorganized from the first two set of daylight normal shots

Very interesting - I have two tabs open, one with the G6 picture and one with the G5 picture, and I'm zoomed in to the two labels on the two bottles to the right. The quality of the G6 looks outstanding, less noise, colours look very subtle, and the contrast looks very nice - showing the reflections in the clear plastic better. It looks very pleasing so far.

Normal camera on G6 better. Wide angle one, on G6 is better in good light but not in low light.

Did anyone notice? They actually reduced the size of the sensor of the main camera. Why would they do such a foolish thing?? Everyone moved to 1/2.6 - 1/2.3in sensors (including LG), but yet now they're making it worse!
They still are choosing smaller pixels as well. What is wrong with LG?
Oh my... I really thought they were finally moving towards 1/1.5 as the Nokia Lumia 1020 had, or 1/1.2 as the Nokia 808 had.

I'm disappointed. They will always manage to disappoint us. Cutting costs? pathetic.
I'm glad my LG G5 has all these great hardware features vs the G6 and a larger camera sensor.
I don't know what else to say.

They better price it $500. Anyway, prices gonna down some days later but the hype will be over. it's not a shopping season anyway. They better price it $500 from start so people will remember it and critics will mention as a good value.
Last year G5 sold for less than oneplus 3t but no one remembered coz it was not worth the price when people saw it.

I am way too disappointed with the camera on the G6. 13 MP? 1.12 pixel size ?? Mayor downgrade to even the G4 !
