The Samsung I9003 Galaxy SL was announced three weeks ago, but we guess its similarity to the Galaxy S helped it enter production so quickly. Plus with the Super Clear LCD replacing the super AMOLED there's no screen supply shortages to worry about. The reason is found in its Super LCD screen that is cheaper than Super AMOLED screen (used in the Galaxy S). Moreover, the SL also comes with a larger battery, which is probably needed to make-up for a non-organic display. Rest of the specs remain unchanged and include such things as 5-megapixel camera with HD video recording capability, 1GHz Hummingbird processor, HSPA and Wi Fi connectivity, GPS, Bluetooth and so on.

i have bought it 2 months later in kwait for rs32000/-
overall it is good but the battery backup is very poor
you will be fed up with it
it is about 2hrs of talk time and 1day stand by time!!!!!!!!!
i have shone it to samsung care store also!!!!!!!!

@Steve I haven't tried any custom rom on my galaxy s 9003,I haven't rooted it yet.For my lg optimus one I use KSmithInNy and Beezy rom.

@branded A good screen guard won't effect the touch experience of the phone that much.There will be a very slight effect which u won't even notice from the next day of applying it.

The hardware of galaxy s 9003 supports tv out through the 3.5 mm jack.But there is no option in the phone's display menu,so as of now it doesnot have tv-out.But gingerbread update might add a tv-out option in the display menu.

@Rahul yes it is scratch proof but bro everything has its limitations.My car has airbags,traction control,ABS it scored 5stars in euro ncap crash tests but still i drive it carefully.My opinion has nothing to do with the price of the car or the phone.I just want to say that go for the screen guard,it will add a protective layer on yor handset's screen.

@Rahul thanx bro ur welcome.The galaxy s gt 9003 has gorilla glass but i will still insist u to go for a scrath guard.The cost of scrathguard is like peanuts as compared to the price of phone,and a good screenguard won't effect the visual experience.A screen guard is a must for every screen weather gorilla glass or not.U will easily get the screen guard for under 150 bucks.Screen guard of the amoled version of galaxy s is of the same size and u can easily find it after asking a couple of shops,the shopkeepers might ask u for a higher price say 400 bucks,saying that this screen guard is of a better quality than the rest and the mrp of this one is 600 bucks,dont listen to them.There r two good companies screenward and screenguard and both of them r available for 100-150 bucks.

Can you please mention the model number that you see on ur phone box ?
The specs on letsbuy.com and flipcart.com do not match. Letsbuy.com does not mention about TV out and Gorilla glass but flipkart.com specifies these 2 features. So I am confused whether these 2 sites selling same model or different model . Even the model number differs slightly. Even Samsung India site does not specifies tv-out and gorilla glass.
Also how much time did letsbuy.com take in delivery? How much did u pay for phone?

I have myself got Samsung Galaxy S LCD from Letsbuy. and i love my phone.
Can you please answer my question please? You said yes, Galaxy S LCD has gorilla glass, but is it scratch proof gorilla glass? because all gorilla glasses are not scratch proof. Pls. reply.

You can use the 2gb rom(inbuilt memory) for all the apps and internal sd card for the apps that can be moved to sd .U can't move the apps to external sd not even the apps that support apps 2sd.Some games require download of additional game files or require u to copy the game files to sd for eg.nfs shift in that case u will have to copy the files to the internal sd rather than external sd.You have to install the .Apk files the same way.I hope the info is useful to u.

@Anonymous yes the phone has the gorilla glass.I am using ndrive app for navigation using it i get the gps fix in less than 45 seconds.

Samsung india site does not mention about these two but features on flipkart says it has these. I can live without TV out but gorilla glass is must.

Now can we install apps(which cant b moved to SD card) on this ntire 4GB memoey or only on 2GB..cus anoder 2 GB is in the form of SD card.. n if not wht can do about the apps that cant b moved to SD card?? pls reply ASAP..
