That with Apple Music just pushes Apple is heavily in with music for a long time and has adapted (bought) to the new audio world. Samsung buying Harman and now incorporating AKG as standard is a good counter and if anything, will be more attractive to true audiophiles or anyone that appreciates music in high quality. Will be interesting to see if Samsung push into the music market stronger.

some say sony doesn't even use external dac for their headphones.

"AKG tuned headphones" definition means nothing! LG bundled Bang & Olufsen H3 which is a great earphone (I bought gray color at very low price which exists abundantly in the market right now due to low sales of LG phones; I paid 40-USD brand new but before buying I read lots of reviews as well). We don't find the money in the street. Model has to be mentioned.

I gave some examples about what means real power for headphones for a rookie wich mix the dac with the final stage of the power amplifier. I do not expect at mobiles to open 300-600 ohms headphones, you bloody idi...., i just gave some numbers for clueless twa....But it is not impossible to make an audiophile mobile with 2000-3000-4000 mw power amp. You will not brake any low impedance headphones. Volume control is yours !!

It's not proposed for that, it's a "mobile" phone man, why do we care much about that. If U want to use hi-impendence like 300/600 Ohm just put the setup on U'r desk. Or U want to bring that hi-impendence cans walking around? Well that's U'r life not ours.
On contrary if phones charge too much current/voltage may broke lower impendence cans. Too much risk as on market user tend to use low impendence (16-50 ohm) cans.

The main problem of all mobile phones is the low current of hp amplifiers, not the bloody dac. Dac is the preamplifier stage, signal processing stage. Htc is the only mobile with high voltage current amlification, able to open high impedace headphones. Learn something !!! Normal mobiles have around 2x15 mW power output. Htc 10 has 2x70 mW power output. To drive big 300 ohms headphones requires minimum 2x 500 mw power output. Real hp amplifiers have over 2x 3 watts output power. This means 6000 mw :)))

Apart from the screen size upgrade, their seems to be not much improvement in this year's flagships. The camera sensors seem to be the same from the S7 duo.
