Even if none of my Samsung phones had annoying problems, I still wouldn't buy the S8. Not everyone likes the stupid curved screen, some people want a decent phone under $900! Or one you don't need palm rejection software that doesn't work to use. Hate it

Comparing to Lg, class above with those edges and finish, still kudos to LG!
Headphone jack is a big plus for 95% of people - you can still use the Bluetooth if u want.

Nothing new really, even LG best them by launching similarly looking G6 2 months before Samsung.
I can't say if it's ugly, but not my kind of design.
There's really nothing new to the table, just more gimmicks at higher price.

And back to the S8. It is the new eye catcher with the great SoC and minor tweaks. And I think one of the biggest reasons will be the Note 8.
The note 8 will have 6 or 8gb or drr4x ram, possibly get the bump to 6.2 inch 4k hdr display, a possible revision of the exynos with slightly improved thermal performnace and maybe the improvements that arm already revised in the g71. With maybe a few more shader cores. And that new modem that supports many more radios that samsung was talking about.
As well as there will be some more of an update to the camera. What it will be we can't tell yet. I would love to imagine it will be that large 1/1.7 inch sensor with f1.4 but sadly it probably won't be that epic. But high chance there will be some higher level of optic improvements
And probably ufs 2.1 if not in the S8 already. With 64 or 128 internal options. They might even do 256 to go all out.
Sadly I don't see the projector of the Galaxy beam line betting merged yet.

And while we wish it was more there is a nice detail to the ram. It's lpddr4x vs lpddr4. Consuming .6v compared to 1.1v. A power consumption cut off 45%.
Plus we don't know any details about the display and it's efficiency yet.
While it's not a large upgrade the SoC's alone will be nice hefty ones.
Audio should see a nice update on both S835 and Ex8895 as well.

Hmmmmmm, After not getting my Note 7, I was hoping S8 plus would come with stylus and 6GB RAM, even if no stylus at least 6GB RAM to keep me going till Note 8.
I have to say I don't find the LG6 or xperia xz or S8 appealing even more so now the S8 appears to have 4GB ram and a $1000 price tag. I may just have to wait out for the Note 8 as I won't do IPhones ever again.

They look nice but a bit weird. Didn't really understand why until I went to check the mix review. Mi mix used 17:9 screen, with the extra space for soft keys, s8 and g6 has 18:9 so they look really long and maybe will have black bars. I think xiaomi got the aspect ratio right, you imagine watching a 16:9 movie on these new phone. how to get rid of the black bars?
