That's a contrast with SonyEricsson.. I was dumb in buying the X10 less than a year ago rather than a Desire.. had both in my hands... At least it served as a lesson NEVER to buy a Sony Ericsson again.. they are so profit oriented that once a new phone is out, the previous one is completely abandoned.. RIP, X10..

This is a great news for HTC Users and a sad one for Sony Ericsson users. I believe SE needs to learn from this and create a competitive market, where a proud owner of SE will say to his or herself that I'm truly blessed. This is sad SE.

Htc proves them selves again to be the best software supporter for Android handsets!

Well done HTC, you deserve nothing less than total respect.

It's about time other manufacturer learn from HTC.

A word of warning to you all when you get the update. You now can add sound effects like EQ and Compression for headphones, speaker and bluetooth devise and if HTC decide to include this feature I suggest to turn down the volume really low when you enable Compression through headphones, I nearly damaged my ears.

Anonymous, 27 Feb 2011Was it because Legend doesn't have 1Ghz proc? Desire Z may ... moreMore likely cause of the lack of memory in the Legend. Probably not enough for Gingerbread.

HTC knows the segment which is not covered well. And that is user support. You can have quad core 1GHz CPU with Tegra 10 and 1920x1080 SuperDuperAMOLED screen but if you don't provide a proper level of support, users will go elsewhere. And that's what's happening to most of other vendors.
So, if HTC is smart enough and i think they are, they'll keep at least such level of support or even move it a notch higher level.

Rooted mine on Friday night and managed to install 2.3 CM7 RC-1 and man! the phone feels and looks good now. Am kinda not liking Sense that much any more so to be able to customise my home screens is an added bonus. Can't wait to see what HTC have to offer.

That's why HTC is the only company in the Android realm that deserves respect, they don't abandon their users like other stupid companies.
