But its a matter of learning how to be contented on what you have.. The beauty of a pc set up is that it allows you to do anything you want and I will purchase this 1080Ti from my current amd 390X and I will learn to be contented with it for a long time. For as long it serves my purpose

Im sick of this shit... and i believe that a lot of people are sick of this bullshit as well. Even if i had 2000 $ to spend of awesome pc i will never do that... price-performance ratio for this kind of tech is always bad. And never consumer-friendly.

AnonD-463498, 01 Mar 2017Xbox Scorpio will crush thisRight... Like Xbox one ever crushed anything. It's GPU, from 2013, is at the same level as GTX465, from 2010. So if anything, Xbox Scorpio will be like GTX760 or GTX770.

                  A) AMD doesn't screw up with timing, after all, Nvidia's refresh is coming this summer, and new architecture is coming this autumn.
                  B) AMD does truly have a faster architecture. Unlike Intel, Nvidia hasn't been twiddling it's thumbs, and their current GPUs are on the order of magnuture faster than 2 gen back.

Anonymous, 01 Mar 2017not even the new price makes the 1080 the same price or clo... moreIt does in my country! I recently reviewed prices on hardware and found out 1080 costs around $800 in my country. Not recommended 600 or anywhere close. Hopefully 1080 ti will drive the prices down so I can afford 1080. Or maybe 1070 will also have its price drop and become a more reasonable choice - I'm still playing in 1080p but using 144hz monitor, so I do notice when games run faster than 60 fps.

Dota gamer, 02 Mar 2017Which GPU is better for palying DOTA 2? =)1080p? A GTX 1050Ti, RX 470 will do it at max settings probably, if your a little fearful then an RX 480 or a 1060 will secure that, but it is highly unlikely they would be needed over the first two. At 1440p, an RX 480\GTX 1060 for ultra settings and a 1070 or an R9 Fury would make sure it reaches level of performance over 100fps easily, but even then the 1060 or RX 480 would do really well and possibly higher than 70-80fps. At 4K, definetly a 1070 or an R9 Fury X minimum for Ultra settings and i dont think the 1080 or R9 395X2 would be needed at all, for 60fps+ gameplay at a constant rate.

This is how it has always been, first the fast Titan with high price, then later the faster/as fast flagship GTX.

An amazing GPU it is! Faster than a Titan XP, with only less ROPs and a less 1GB of VRAM, which wouldnt be very useful at this point anyways. Definetly a killer value for performance here, but people should always get aftermarket coolers and not the founders edition ones.
