Majority of people I know and play with on PC have the 1080 or possibly SLI of the 1080. It's not a ridiculous price for a GPU when you're purely focused on PC gaming. Not looking for trouble at all. Stick to phones if you don't understand

Cool! Now I can get 1080 instead of 1070 for the same price! I want a future-proof card, in case I manage to get a higher-res monitor... or VR headset.

viveksubhash, 01 Mar 2017do you people game on titan?? isnt that overkill?? i'm plan... moreThat Depends Dude if You are a casual gamer (means you do games occasionally and go for a decent setting not ultra on "every game" ) gtx1060 is perfect for now i played doom on ultra (1080p) with 40+fps which is good , if you can spend a bit more go with the gtx1070 noticeably better than 1060 , if you are hard-core-gamer (every thing must be on 4K & at least high setting) go either with gtx1080Ti or the limited edition asus ARES with 2Xgpu but you have to buy a cooling system for it plus does your power supply support all this power! :) ,at last everything depends on how deep your pockets goes :) :D

overkill or not, depends on what games u r playing & ur resolution. ur graphic cards power will never get enough if u playing a high demand 3d game on 3x4k monitor

Meanwhile AMD is over like the Vega will now be the RX Vega (Fancy Right?) and will have HBM2, most likely for similar if not lower prices...don't have to buy our FirePro cards to get it like Nvidia locking it down to the Quadros *drops mic*
