Huawei P10 +, no doubt best phone ever in this range.
I give xperia xz premium a little edge b'coz of its 4k resolution & better look. (in high end devices) but galaxy s8 will be best phone of 2017-18.

I hope sony could defeat the lg phone...but people hate the bezel....it is hard to make the xz be the best

No one ever look at that 4 corners anyway. Lets say you dining on a rectangle table with rounded corners. Is there really a loss of space to put some extra dishes at that not so important 4 corners? Nobody cares about it. Not that I really support this rounded corner screen but it does have some logic if you think about it. Let me emphasized again; SOME.

960fps video capture may not be practical for some people but it is a cool feature that will make everyone amazed because for the first time in human history that we can capture the moments that they can not see with the naked eyes with using only the camera on their phone.
But for day to day use a simple front facing speakers is far more pratical and usefull than the curved screen and iris scanner combined even if the speakers is not the loudest on a smartphone.

It is the "square or round" matter doesn't mean anything or which is the best. But to be sure the curved screen corner may lost some of the display area at that 4 corner.
