Is that a tempered glass protector on it? I still can't find one for my S7E, as much as I like the phone it's really irritating, screen already has some minor scratches on it and nothing I can really do about it. Might have to settle for film at this rate.

Samsung is hoping to sell 80 million of these? They look like remotes and when these phones are reviewed they better not have black bars or always on soft keys when watching main stream 16:9 video, or when playing games.
The phones are now extra tall, but place the finger print sensor alongside the camera, near the top? Now Samsung is going to be shocked when they only sell 30 million units if so much.

Why won't any company make full screen SmartPhone and completely erease the bazzel
It's look so nice
I think in 2020 we wouldn't see any flagship phone with bazzel

The phone isn't any longer, just the screen.
Phone doesn't look overly slim though - easily as thick or a little thicker than the S7. If making a phone larger/wider (and though close, this is still apparently wider than the S7) it needs to be thinner to keep it comfortable in the hand, easier to hold/use, and easier in the pocket.
And both phones have screen protectors if you look closely - though seems like the S8 has a tempered glass one and the S8+ has a plastic/silicon one with cut outs around the cameras and sensors. Means the close up photos are of the S8

It will be hard to reach middle and top of screen indeed :(. I need bezels. Every phone needs bezels so stop thinking you don't need it just because media outlets are trying to brainwash you that you don't.
You hold a phone and tablet way better in landscape mode when there are bezels. I can't stand holding a phone and my fingers/skin touches the screen without me wanting to.

the phone is to narrow , 18:9 sucks big time , it doesn't look very good to me and while holding it in hand probably it will be really difficult to reach both top and bottom parts of the screen ...
and enough with those '' leaks'' already ... gsma you should get your act together . and also please don't ban me bc of this :D ...

Problem is that based on these pictures they are plain ugly. Hopefully they will look better when actually held in our hands.

I think iPhone 8 will have a hard time beating S8 with those slim bezel. I think Apple need to fire Johny Ivy and steal Samsung & LG design team.
