By now, everybody abd their mother should know that samsung flagships (or any android flagships except google pixel) will go on special (or have a lot of gifts included) in some capacity a couple of weeks after release, so only some &/$:&;@;& people buy at msrp pricing. Wait a few months, and galaxy s8 will be 300$ off from some sellers, 1 year and it's 50% off

If you already have an S7 (or any other 2016 flagship), your phone is already overpowered. Why in the world would you need to get an S8?
This phone was probably meant for those who have a new/renewed contract, or an S5 or earlier model phone, or other brands from a similar time.

As was obvious when pricing info for the LG G6 became available, it simply won't sell at that price. The S8 and S8+ are immensely higher specced, and the S8 is the same price.
I can see LG having to discount the G6 by €100-150 immediately. What were they hoping for? Samsung to shoot for €900 starting price?

The Galaxy S6 edge+ (64GB) was priced at $860. The Galaxy S7 edge (64GB) was priced at $849 -which is hard to find- and the Galaxy S8 (64GB) is priced at $850.
So these three flagships (S6 edge+, S7 edge, and S8) have the same pricing for the 64 GB version (about $850).
So that means the Galaxy S8 is meant to replace the Galaxy S7 edge and not the regular Galaxy S7, and the Galaxy S8+ is a much more premium offer from Samsung.

Not a fan, but that violet color is quite nice. Remembers me a bit of the purple color Sony had a few models back.
I wish phone manufacturers would make more colors except black, white, gold and silver.
Who would buy a golden phone anyway except girls? It's so kitchy and tasteless.

Pretty good considering LG's alleged flagship (G6) is 800$, you are getting a lot more for just extra 45$.
