1)It is American, but owned by Chinese.
2)it used display panels, processors etc from same suppliers just like all other companies ex Qualcomm, sharp, corning and Sony sensors.
3)phones of both companies are manufactured in China and still xiaomi has an upper hand coz Foxconn manufacturers Mi phones which has expertise in that department.
5)both phones are marketed by same channels, at least in India both phones are sold through Flipkart mainly.
So there is nothing so special about Motorola except it is American and that is special only for you.

Common lenovo now price it high and kill new moto g5 plus as usual.......People who finalised the specs of this phone are fools when every other brand is giving a massive battery of 4000mah or more lenovo guys gave just 3000 mah battery which is exactly same as old model. Don't know when these companies will learn from their mistakes. Definitely they are going to launch 64gb variant near to 20k and kill this phone even before launching....

I am looking to forward to what will be the price of Moto g5 plus ! Lenovo p2 priced at 17000 inr, then lenovo z2 plus with 820 processor priced at 17500 inr, then Moto m priced at 17000 inr ! actually lenovo & Motorola fighting each other in Indian market !

It's metallic, okay but it's ugly, it's thick (which is forgivable if it had bigger battery but redmi note 4 has snapdragon 625 +4GB RAM +64GB ROM +4000mah battery for 13000 (less than $200) and it will only sell for Motorola name but it is also Chinese and Lenovo is nothing better (actually worse) than xiaomi.

Will it come with 4GB RAM in India ? If not, then it would be very disappointing. Redmi Note 4 already offering 4 GB with SD 625 at 13K in India.
