Anonymous, 09 Mar 2017"many of the vulnerabilities highlighted in the leak have a... moreYou are right but those users own lower and mid range phones and mostly they don't need that much security in a phone. All they care about is the camera, phone, browser, social apps and games are working and it's enough for them and anything beyond that does not concern them. People who need security are those who understand it and they for devices they are supported and are secure.
And if you really need security in a phone that much then go BlackBerry phones.

So the only way to stay relatively safe inside Android is to buy a Pixel or at least a device with monthly security patches.

Nougat market share is around 0.1% now. So are the 99.9% of android phones all safe?

No update and no even newer light versions of android for example: nougat light version for poor phones like my cheap android phone, no ear for listening

"many of the vulnerabilities highlighted in the leak have already been fixed!, that is not true because most users still use Android versions that will never ever be updated and never get any of these "fixes"! Android is a very unsafe OS becuase of the not existing updates for most users!

BB OS, Tizen, Windows Phone 8.1, Windows 10 Mobile, Sailfish and any other OS with least market share are totally secure.

How? When there is no political or business high weights to use them, there is no need to waste spy tools to record talks or find casual publicly available locations.

They are missing the point, Wikileaks first vetted the materials to not weaponize malicious groups, so saying the vulnerabilities were already fixed is a very "captain obvious" move.

So if you really want a secure phone, either go with BlackPhone, either with Turing Phone. They seem to be very focused on secure phones. Sure, they are not very well known, but then again, how many of us really need a super secure phone?
Most of the people only use them to Facebook, instagram, games etc.
I for one one never used a credit card online and I probably will never make any purchase with my phone so I don't care.
Go ahead, spy the hell out of my phone. All you'll get will be porn and maybe a virus or two :))
Also I bet they have the technology to spy on people from space if they want to, so this phone and other electronic devices problem seem like child play..
By the way, you should be more concerned about smartphones with assistant - the microphone is ALWAYS turned on, so it always listens to what you say. Add a little code to detect keywords and bam! The perfect surveillance app, that is installed into the system and only root gives you the possibility to delete it.
As longs as you don't do things you've not supposed to, relax. Nothing to worry about.
It's good to know someone is watching me play Orborous :))

It seems that BlackBerry BB10 is the most secure operating system on the planet no words from the CIA regarding any security flaws from BB10 can that same be said about Apple and Sammy's Son. Google God knows you been failing us from day one with that Android crap which full back-door for the spying agencies
