Oh please... My old xperia e3 and m2 has facial recognition. Was that suppose to be a hype on s8 again. That's totally unspecial in the slightest way.

Love it or haters gonna hate. For me samsung rocks again. This is the new tech for today's smartphone. Even apple will implement face recognition.

More & more sophisticated ways of unlocking electronic devices like door locks, cars etc...., now fingerprint scanners will even be on entry level phones too.

This news is not really about facial recognition but to keep the hype about S8. Google, Apple, Samsung are coping each-other on dubious marketing practices (a.k.a. leaks) and people are getting tired of these cheap marketing tricks and artificial hype over very common smartphones.

Iris scanner is best biometric tech to use. Period. Thing is, the military probably own the best most reliable implementation so consumer version will be less effective.
