All the stupidity of Google's messaging team started when they renamed Google Talk to Hangout.

Instead of combining all features into 1 app, such as what Whatsapp progressing to, Google stupidly think it's better to split Talk functionalities into separate single function app for video call, voice call, messaging and conference.

Not this Hangout a.k.a "Meet and Chat"... But there will be two services... "Meet" and "Chat". I don't know about the user experience though. Probably, those who use more chat will use "Chat" and those who converence a lot for a meeting will use "Meet". CMIIW.

Ok, so what is going to happen to the Hangout which I was using for many years? This Hangout (Chat & Meet) are different from Normal Hangout which we were using for so many years?

Kudos Google for making your messaging platform even more confusing than before.
