I have z5 compact and after the update to nougat, I did a root reinstallation with the pc companion and everything was solved.
Still excellent ..... awesome with nougat 7.0. I look forward to 7.1.2

When are they going to fix the Bluetooth issues? My phone won't consistently connect audio or text messaging any more. Sometimes I have to open settings just to connect the phone. Ugh.

Sony phones have usually had low volume. I remember having the Sony Ericsson T610 (aka T616) and the volume was ridiculously quiet. For a company known for great audio since their Walkman days, the voice quality is terrible just like their external speaker for years.

If you want LOUD voice quality, get a Nokia. From my personal experience, Nokia, Motorola, and BlackBerry have the loudest and clearest reception. This is the one aspect where I avoid Sony and they seem overrated by the PlayStation fanboys. Their phones have had lower voice quality for years now.

[deleted post]Exactly, why have unnecessary useless feature when it's not going to improve your experience, but rather ruin it further? To my opinion, Sony has the most elegant and minimalistic UI design, not too much iOS-like like GraceUX. The true innovation is the fact that they've managed to make the OS super stable despite the amount of bloatwares (it actually has more bloatwares than Samsung UI if you go specific) which makes me question more on how Samsung still can't pull ahead of Apple in performance with their superior hardware. How about all manufacturers implement features when they're already 100% ready and no issues will be found? Samsung is about releasing an unstable feature, forget it, introduce a new unstable one, and never acknowledges the issue. Like I said, not all features are useful, and only split screen multitasking is what I found to be useful from Samsung. Galaxy S4 had Eye Scroll feature and Air View, now where are those two in Samsung's latest flagships? Not even their upcoming one will have it, so basically, it's useless, just like their other features

            [deleted post]Plain android doesn't have...
            Battery care
            Smart cleaner
            Proper backup & restore
            Lifelog
            Etc.

Yes samsung and other oem may have much more feature, but that is the thing making update slow. Don't forget who got the most stable update also since 7.0 is plague with issue so yeah...
And saying sony ui ugly is plain hypocrete...

That's why I don't use sony phones. Their software is full of bugs and sony take months to years to fix that.

finally! let's hope they'll fix all the volume issues and not just the in call ones. The volume levels of Z5 in nougat are very low!

also in Z5 the finger print feature has been removed after the last update and I don't have a clue why as it was one of the reasons for me to buy the device in the first place and it became so common to face issues after every update I had the same when I got Marshmallow
So I already made my mind..... Sorry Sony but this is my last device.

You know as much as I like the Xperia line for numerous reasons, battery life being foremost, I can no longer buy Android phones. This is I believe my 12th Android phone and every one of them has has some stupid problem which takes months to be fixed, if ever fixed at all.

This time? The Z5 Compact had absolutely ruined Bluetooth at launch, it took something like six months before Sony got an update out. With the 7.0 update they BROKE BLUETOOTH AGAIN. Low Energy specifically. Also my location services are slow to react causing all manner of annoyances.

And sure, it might be that Android is actually the fault and not Sony, that 6.0 and 7.0 had fundamental flaws. But when a company is maintaining dozens of models at once the updates are slow and it is annoying.

I do not actually like iOS much, but the fact there are only a few models at a time seems to mean problems get fixed more rapidly. And I think I'll buy an iPhone next.

And Sony quickly acknowledges these issues. How about Samsung?

Offended? No need to bring up different issues here, because we know which OS is the most stable in Android platform :D
