damn. top bezel seems so busy. theres alot going on in there. it will look better on darker color. and for the one who said that lg copied samsung for the back glass panel. well. place lg optimus g side by side with galaxy s3. plus i think it was apple who 1st used glass as back panel on their phones. dumb fan.

at least they got rid of the home button which every one was copying. something different,
design wise by Samsung. liked it!!

Design looks good since im a fan of the Note series I think I will prefer the smaller version for once, since my Note 4 is 5.7 inches. So im still getting a bigger screen in a smaller device.
Just really hating the fingerprint sensor and no home key.

I hope that all the phone companies will stop copying Iphone. I am such a big fan of samsung. been using the note since the note 2 and now the note 5. The designs of the phones are longer like the iphone 6/s plus and iphone 7 plus which is UGLY. they should make it a bit wider rather than longer. I fell in love with big phones since the HTC Desire HD. Then the Note designs are so beautiful. Stick to these designs instead of following the designs of the iphone plus models.

Looks ugly as ...(I'll let you fill the blank)
Before going any further, I would like to state that I am the definition of a power user.
But the phone industry's best (and most genuine) days are behind it. There is no originality left in the game.
I've supported every company whom I thought pushed the smartphone envelope the furthest each year.
But the game unfortunately, is over.
I loved the concept of curved edges on the S6 Edge and S7 Edge, but when you have to operate a phone with one hand (ie when walking/travelling outdoors using maps), or even while laying down, and realize it has no false touch/palm rejection built in, you will be constantly zooming in and out with every single touch just because the bezel less edges are always touching your palm (yet in reality all you are simply trying to do scroll up and down, or to click a link/open an app, with the tip your thumb).
Who gives the green light to these products?
Already we're at the days of lowering megapixels/camera breakthroughs, we have fingerprint sensors that get scratched....oleo-phobic screens that just love oil, front cameras that for some reason are hashed together from the rear camera rejects bin from 2005 (why is resolved detail not important for a front camera? You can still have software beautify your face to your preference, but why handicap the camera hardware for that?)
If you can pick up a recent smartphone at home and get 90% of the job done, you should ask yourself, why do you accept paying new money year after year, for the same product with a bit of garnish and marketing hype added to it?
We the customers allow this to happen, by paying unconditionally, these days a "new" phone is 90% psychology, and 10% logic, why are we all giving up our rights and accepting whatever is enforced on us so easily?
GSMArena played a huge role in forcing the development of future devices with their in depth, no nonsense, fault exposing reviews. Now we seem to exist in a warp with a happy-days mentality, where everything is a good enough alternative, for just about anything else...

I am a samsung fan tanks to removable battery, micro sd support, home button and big screen rate for all phones. s6 and note 5 dont have micro sd support and removable baytery so too much samsung fans didnt buy. I want to buy next samsung note at least flat screen, home button and micro sd suppurt specification.

i still can't believe that this is the real s8, it's so ugly, tall and slim like suppository, those herpes ... that fingerprint sensor placement ... those edges ... no stereo speakers ... just take a look at sony xperia xz premium or iphone 7 or lg g6 or huawei honor magic or google pixel ... they are all gorgeous, super fast & ... high end ... why should anybody buy this bullshit ?

find them ugly looking..havent said that ever I think for a phone... those huge black holes take the whole space on the top.. I think this year G6 looks beautiful... iriany of like I was g4 user looking forward for g5 then g5 was Soo stupid I switched to S7 edge one of the best phones I have owned... now sold s7 edge for axon 7 limited edition... and waiting for S8...now I think mite buy g6 ..seeing s8 weird placement of finger print reader and looks and edge display problem while holding the phone... will wait thought till I hold both the phones in person... and what price point they both launched at
