Especially the thing you say about S7 is an outright lie. I own the thing (well my brother does, but same principle applies). You cannot open more than 7-8 apps, afterwards the OOM manager takes things in its own hands and start killing "fools" (background apps) left and right.

3GB is an incredibly tiny amount of RAM for modern android. At best it allows 1GB to the user, with the average app using 200-300 MB (open Facebook, scroll your wall , then go back to desktop, make sure the app is alive and check how much ram it uses even on background) it can hardly store as many as 5 background apps, often less than that.
With phones increasingly becoming our ... information consumption engines, having such a slow experience (reloading everything, from backgrounds apps, to chrome tabs, to youtube buffer, to Facebook pics) makes out for an incredible slow experience.
So yeah 3GB is enough if you want a relative slow phone. For the rest not even 6GB is enough. The more Ram you give to android, the faster it gets no matter what.

Moto g1 has one GB ram with Android 6.0.1 and one plus 3 with 6 GB ram was launched on the same version. Please stop talking about the things you don't know. Android will run absolutely fine with 3gb ram. Example Nexus 6p which I am using now. Even if you run 25 apps in the memory except games it will only reach almost 3 GB ram. Samsung TouchWiz is flying on S7 with 4gb.

If you paid a premium price for a phone then that will perform the way they should. Otherwise nobody will buy it. Don't compare your phone with high end Samsung phones. S7 is far far better than one plus 3 in many things. One plus 3 is still behind S7 in software. You gotta use S7 then you will know. There is a lot of bugs in one plus 3. That is the reason I gift it to someone. But it is not fragile like S7. S7 is the best camera among the phones I used. I never felt any kind of slow in S7.

I'm running latest lineage os with latest security patch with all features working perfectly on my note tablet. Also I bought far cheaper than the apple product (ipad) back in the day and despite that I'm still getting proper support (old ipads get lesser support, for example lack of multitasking etc).
So yeah I paid a lot , but less than w apple products *and* I'm basically getting support still.

I dont know what was the last Samsung phone you seen but sorry to tell you but touchwiz dont exist anymore. Smartphone these day have as much as 6gb ram and even a few are expecting 8gb ram soon. Custom rom dont eat a lot of ram. Most skin on android today are very light with less bloatware. If you want stock android there is no reason for you to even read or comment on this article in the first place.
