This is Sony Ericsson's chance to claw back market share. I feel that they have Motorola and Samsung in their target sight.

Thank you very much for assuring confidence in the product :D
So I guess dual core technology for Smart phones are a little bit premature at the moment and would take time to develop it.

oh and engadget says that nothing is said about ps2 titles coming in the Tegra Zone news post. confirmation please?

While you guys pay 400$ for a phone that plays ps1 and ps2 games. I'll use my 400$ to buy a high end video card and play Battlefield 3, Crysis 2, DA2.. :-D

Lol this isnt like hacking or emulating, sony ericsson will flesh out the game and optimized/port it for android. Just like what sony doing for psp and psn classics

because till now i didnt see the reason for smartphone to have dualcore and am sure there is no true dualcore in smartphones

Wait a minute... I got confused.
Tegra 2 is only for dual core phones, right?
Would this mean that they will have a second version of XPERIA PLAY soon that will be released with dual core processors?
True, PS2 Games would look good on XPERIA PLAY. But if the requirement is to have the dual core processors, aren't people who will buy the first or previous version of XPERIA PLAY be at a disadvantage because the dual core phones will be released in a short period of time? It would be a waste of money if we buy the XPERIA PLAY now knowing that there will be an available one with dual core processor soon...

Can anyone know the impact on the lifespan of the XPERIA PLAY with this news? I don't want to buy a phone that will be obsolete in 2 years time. It's a waste of money.

It's very obvious, your graphics card is a "CRAP". No surprise.

toby, 12 Mar 2011"i even can't play ps2 using emulator on my pc properl... morethe apps is natively supported by the company itself not like those 3rd party ps2 emulator. so it is highly possible.

but the size of ps2 games is kinda big. its not really appropriate dont you think so?

games will not be run through an emulator. instead sony ericcson is porting the titles directly into android natively
