i even can't play ps2 using emulator on my pc properly
my spec is core2duo 2.8ghz n nvidia 9400 gt
now, how with smartphone ? can it do ?

just pump up the numbers and people will buy phones that last for a year at most...

Anonymous, 11 Mar 2011console emulation usualy needs 10x the performance of the a... morelol sry but thats not true .. it all depends on how its been coded and what its emulating. the reason we have such high sys req for emulators is because its the end user that has reverse engineired the console. and its not done with the official sdk .. by you logic the games would have had to be developed on a ps2 with a ps2 controller. games that were made for consoles are made on pcs then ported to a console.. and optimized to run on the machine at a steady frame rate! if they still have the origenal files which they do it shouldnt be a problem for them to run it on android.. especially since ps2 was based on linux and so is droid.

Playstation Suite has always been meant for all the android phones. Even Sony stated this at the unveiling of PlayStation Suite.
But it doesn't mean that exclusive games for Xperia Play will be available to everyone. They will be exclusive to Xperia Play only due to special collaboration done by SE with the big developers. Even the games exclusive to Xperia Play are made by keeping in mind the gamepad not the touchscreen.
Infact being PlayStation certified from Sony requires having full fledged gaming controls.

It will be impossible, to enjoy a Playstation game without a descent game pad, so the ability to play those titles in any Adroid becomes irrelevant. Only Xperia Play will be significantly favored by them. Unless the PS suite, include some touch only titles apart from the classics...

console emulation usualy needs 10x the performance of the actual console, so while tegra 2 is very powerful, its not 10x the ps2, unless they can optimise the games to the handset, but then the quality wont be as good :/

Nothing comes close to a true joystick. Sony Play will still rule as long as it has been efficiently designed with gaming and phone in mind.
Duo core would be nice, of course!
