Next gen iPhone won’t feature NFC support

14 March, 2011
There's always been immense speculation surrounding the next generation iPhone - will it feature that or the other, will it have a bigger display, will it have a better camera, etc. And now that the iPad 2 is out...

The funniest think is that these people don't really argue, they simply bash using adjectives. Look this guy for example, all he have to say is that "Nokia apps are crap", than he ends the comment saying random things about betalabs and Angry Birds.
Really, WTF.
Don't lose your time, you don't need to prove your loyalty to Apple even further.

At least you were wise and said that it can't be done with all apps, whatever, if you are happy with that, that's all that matters. You just have to be happy with what you have.

AnonD-3713, 14 Mar 2011True multitasking? So you can multitask with EVERY app and ... more"So you can multitask with EVERY app and open more than five different apps on the background? If you say so, all right then."

five? EASILY! make it twenty or thirty!

No you cant use multitask on EVERY app, it's the bad part of iOS multitasking, if you are developer you have to implement the multitasking feature. This is bad thing for very old apps, everyone doesnt care to update their apps, they dont see any point of that.

It's not problem with new apps anymore because the multitasking is coming out of the box with apps now, but some apps from 2008 doesnt maybe never get it.

All my apps doing multitasking so yes for my apps and my use it's very good.

Why i like iOS multitasking is because you don't need to close apps, you dont need to think the multitasking it just works without thinking it (i have 70 apps at multitaskin bar right now). I think this is the big reason why it's done how it's done. Average smartphone users dont even know what multitasking means or how it works, and they dont like to closing apps and like that their phone is getting laggy because opened games and apps.

BIG NEWS: these smartphones arent for "nerds" anymore, by the way that's why iphone is so popular, it doesn't feel nerd tool.

Apples plan is quite clear, they will release NFC in the iphone 6 in 2012,make some ad glorifying apple as if they invented it and claim they've changed everything again. Not only that,it'll be a nfc system which is somehow restricted through use by itunes and making apple even more money through its restrictions

I don't even know that NFC is and in fact, I don't really care about it, I just picked the review title to make some fun, nothing else. (:
Also, it's funny that every iPhone user use the argument "you don't have money to afford" when people don't like it, well, in fact I can, I just think that there are better phones with better features that deserves my money.

I wouldnt think its a wise decision to have NFC support because Iphone is so HOT right now... It seems like its the #1 stolen phones around the world. Anyhow, it will get out of hands if it does have NFC support.

[deleted post]I don't know if it's better than the iphone. The iphone is a different beast in my opinion, after owning both.

Just because iphone doesn't have things like Flash, or removable storage doesn't mean the N8 is better. It's just better for certain peoples preferences.

The N8 just needs a tweaked browser and UI update then it'll be awesome. The purple AMOLED scandal is rather worrying though. Unlike Apple, who acknowledged there could be a problem, Nokia have not said much about this at all.

Unless NFC allows me to pay for my McDonald's meal, Starbucks coffee, and Chevron Gas (my favorite gasoline/petrol in the US) there's really no need for NFC at the moment. I even disabled it on my Nexus S. Its stupid of Apple not to include it in the iPhone 5 because when NFC gets standardized by the time iPhone 6 comes out The iphone 5 would also take advantage of it. But Apple loves milking its iSheep.

This whole NFC thing just seems like an open door to me - there's viruses everywhere doing all kinds of things and the mobile world wants to have a wireless payment protocol based on your mobile? Anyone want to bet how many hackers and crooks are trying to design a virus right now that will enable them to suck money out of your account as you are walking down the street?
