AnonD-200528, 24 Mar 2017I'm recently interested to learn about Xiaomi but 2 questio... more1: Materials on high-end devices are premium (Mi Mix has ceramic) but, you know, this is a chinese company trying to push out as much devices as possible. At this price point, you'd except durabiliy until the successor comes out.
2: Chinese OEMs do use heavy custom ROMs, but you get a lot of RAM anyway (half of it only for the OS, but you'll never need the rest without quad-multi-windowing). You should look for videos describing MIUI, sonce custom ROMs can please half of people and be a deal-breaker for the others. I personally prefer TouchWiz (Lollipop and Marshmallow) and not the new Grace UX. But some OEMs provide a theme store, granting you wih an ever-expanding list of themes modifying your whole UI.

The prices looks great but I wouldn't take the chance of using these.Had a bad experience with the Mi Mix. Warranty is a huge problem. And other hardware problems occured. And no, there was no misuse.

I'm recently interested to learn about Xiaomi but 2 questions I'm still researching:
              1) How reliable is the build quality of these phones?
              2) How good is the MIUI in its recent versions? (I've read many times that it is not RAM friendly. i.e. it's a very heavy skin)
If I'm satisfied with my findings, I may opt for the Mi 6 Plus model

Which one is better? The 4gb ram Mi 6 Plus or 6gb ram Mi 6? The pricing is too close. The cheapest Mi 6 Plus is actually cheaper than the most expensive Mi 6.

                  8GB RAM + 256GB ROM € 469 : A GALAXY S8 killer enough said

Last time when Xiaomi launched it's Mi5 it was pricier in India than China. I hope they launch in India at the same price as in China.

Xiaomi should stop making 32GB flagships because for a flagship which can record 4k and what not, and do not have expandable storage, 32GB is very low. even Apple made its base storage 32GB. And Apples base storage is always in sufficient for the time and that is only for those who want an iPhone not use it.

Then they'll launch only 32GB version in India which will not sell well because storage is much important here and losing many customers. Mi5 didn't sell well here coz people want good storage if there is no SD card. India is different than other major markets because not many PPL use laptops here so smartphones are our primary storage devices.

I wish they'd re-open in our country. I'm tired of seeing unofficial resellers jacking up the price of Xiaomi products.
