Design sketch shows Nokia flagship with a dual camera and Zeiss lens

24 March 2017
The sketch sticks to the established design language for the new Nokia phones.

Stan, 24 Mar 2017Chill dude, everything is first sketched by hand, including... moreNo my friend.
U hav got the process reversed.
They design the internals first and try to keep it as compact as possible and in lines of there current design elements then they design the outer body to accomodate it.
Thats the only way to handle weight distribution, heat management etc.
No sketching takes place.
This work is definitely done by a fan, which is actually good.
But its not original.

Anonymous, 24 Mar 2017Well its not ....Hmd global is not chinese.
    Its finnish like nokia.
It ia formed entirely by veteran nokia executives.
Its ceo has spent 17 years at nokia and hmd's headquaters is right in front of nokia's headquarters.
Its manufacturing is handled by foxconn who has been manufacturing lumias, iphones, galaxies etc for a long time.
So hmd is as much nokia as u can possibly get.

Looks like a typical Samsung design up front. Back side does seem to be a bit different from everything else out there.

Then, only once the sketch design is approved by upper management, you get into the CAD design with AutoCAD, Solidworks, or whatever else one might use. I only know these two.

awesome but a little late, it must have been the NOKIA to built the Periscope-Style camera not OPPO.
as a nokia user i believe nokia can catch up easily but if he Wants.

Nokia will wait to see how there first set of phones preforms, then when the 835 chip is available for the others release the Nokia N8,which was one of Nokia"s Best Symbian Camera phone

This has got to be fake.
This is not how smartphones are designed.
There are so many complex and very very expensive softwares for such things.
This is electronics, not a comic book.

                            Oh Nokia (& co.)
When WILL this useless meme / trend of dual cameras end?
This is a fast paced world. By the time you figure out what camera to select and choose settings etc - the moment you're trying to capture is gone.
Just give us a decent fast opening / focusing low light camera to point and shoot.

JordanBaby, 24 Mar 2017"HMD has execs and employees that are from Nokia." so logic... moreDoes Samsung A7 2017 priced at $240? Dummy the A7 is double the price of Nokia 6.. That's why it has more features.. BUT still in camera department the Nokia 6 wins for half the price.. If you want an A7 rival for the price wait for Nokia 7/8 which will be a higher mid range phone

Nokia mentality is must. Otherwise all Chinese have same specs. Even 1+5 will have 835 and dual cameras. Only difference is quality and stock rom.

There is no compelling flagship in sony's line up. Just dumb looking phones with enormous bezels and some marketing gimmicks and ask for premium price. Even 200$ phone is better than sony flagships. Keep dreaming...sony fanboys

rynn, 24 Mar 2017Cant wait to see new generation of pureview. HMD Global doesn't have the license to hold that name anymore. I know, the whole Nokia thing can be kinda confusing.

Microsoft bought the entire mobile division back in 2013 and sold the Nokia branding rights to HMD Global which is a Finnish company made up of ex-Nokia employees.

Would the REAL NOKIA please standup? Since HMD is Finnish, they have more Finland and Nokian in them than Microsoft. I believe HMD will recapture the Nokia magic of yesteryear.
