I doubt its a flagship. New brand usually start out with midranger or budget phone. It would be amazing if Essential can give us bezel less midranger at a low price. It will definitely spark a new trend that every manufacturer must follow. A few years from now cheap bezel less midranger phone could be a norm. We did manage to make 1080p display and fingerprint sensor a norm in even the cheapest midranger and budget phone. That is like a flagship standard 7 years ago.

when I read the title I instantly thought "Google & the pixel line have some real competition" but that tiny view of the phone instantly puts it up with the samsung s8 & LG G6, LG more so if the modular part is any good, as much as I wanna wait for the 2nd lot of pixels, this phone might change my, and a lot of other peoples minds.

That's what exactly I was thinking...before buying my 5.5inch phone. You get used to it believe me.

Dont jump on hype train so soon, I can ensure you that they gonna put such price on it that you would rather buy overpriced S8 than this and you would call it cheap :]

Looks amazing! For some reason, the S8+ and the G6 don't look as stunning as the Mi Mix (must be the tall aspect ratio and the perceivable top bezel) but this looks like it can topple the Xiaomi Mi Mix.

only care if it's 5in screen or less. If it's a big screen with no bezels don't care, the dimensions will still be too large. And if it can't be dropped without a case and the screen not crack, which I bet this will, then again no point. A mobile device that can't be used in a mobile environment is not much use.
