Samsung Galaxy S8 Microsoft Edition comes with even more bloatware

30 March 2017
Just in case the two virtual assistants built into the non-Microsoft edition S8 weren't enough for you, this model has three.

Would like to see Windows 10 version of this phone

AnonD-270570, 30 Mar 2017This so called bloatware is why Samsung users love Samsung,... moreP.S. I also use Outlook and pretty much all of Microsoft apps, even Arrow launcher, but I installed them by myself out of my own free will. So it's not OK when Samsung forces people to use something they don't want to, just because You like it.
And to everyone else, it's called Microsoft edition for a reason. If you dont want to use MS system, don't buy it.

      Haha

AnonD-270570, 30 Mar 2017This so called bloatware is why Samsung users love Samsung,... moreIt's called bloatware because they put some apps on YOUR phone that you can't uninstall. And I, a Samsung user, am smart enough to go to the Play store and install them myself, if I wanted to. When a company makes, for example, one mail client that does all, they are offering a full package, but when they force 3 apps on YOUR phone, that basically do same job, then it's not a full package, it's bloatware.

No, I do not love the S8. The removal of physical buttons and non-standard aspect ratio are a deal breaker to me.

I really don't get why so many companies are in a rush to develop virtual assistants.
I envisage they'll be down to two or three in a few years when those simply following the bandwagon have lost their steam.

This so called bloatware is why Samsung users love Samsung, having a full package doesn't make it bloatware. It's just a term used by users of other brands to defend their brand who don't give them anything and just come to steal their money with a crap phone every year. Samsung S and Note are complete smartphones, you get everything you need and these additional things just make you to love your phone more and more everyday.

AnonD-650563, 30 Mar 2017Nothing new here... its always the same with Samsung... tha... moreHow much servicing do you really need? I've used ONE phone for almost 4 years, never had to do any servicing, and I bought it second hand after about 8 months with the previous owner.
Now I've bought another one, over a year old, and my guess is that it won't need any maintenance until I replace it, and I do plan to keep it at least till mid-end of 2018.

Nothing new here... its always the same with Samsung... that is one major turn off...

However, I have never bought any phone outside Samsung... its the post sale service that matters the most to me. And Samsung offers the best post sale service in India (its out of my experience, no official stats mentioned here).

It is always easy to find a Samsung Service station compared to everything else... This is also the second most important reason why I say a BIG no to apple products... the first one being the ridiculous price.
