Anonymous, 03 Apr 2017Lol your name already gives out that you are a sony troll. ... moreLol, and WTF does Sony have anything to do here? I was talking why HTC is falling. Well, if you wanted me to talk about it, then I'm not guaranteeing you'll not need a handkerchief to wipe those water on your eyes :D

I remember the HTC One M9 that barely even survived Zack of JRE's durability test, especially the bend test. M8 was of probably the same build. They incorporated metal build but sadly, they used it the wrong way. Xperia Z2 was IP58 rated during that time, I wonder where HTC comes close to that. Not to mention that the Z2 can easily handle any drops whatsoever like any metal phones of HTC do

Oh wait, you're crying now, since this is the truth

Too bad your beloved M9 couldn't do it lol

"And if an android phone is going to rival Samsung sales it is HTC. "
Lol in what way? By releasing a mediocre clone U Ultra? Pfftt hahahahaha good try mate. Only lasting 4+ years, but not 10 years? What if I tell you about my Sony Ericsson K800i that is now 11 years old and still remains flawless today? Want more? My friend has an old Walkman Music Player and that thing still kicks some beats.

Okay, I'll try finding an HTC that lasts for more than 10 years, maybe just to prove you right a little bit lol

Obviously a lot of technical work has gone behind this. It could actually revolutionise a few things and be quite successful. Kudos for the innovation on this level.

Yeah HTC is stuck in 2013. I liked the One S and One X, the first HTC One was ok for its time (minus the camera) but the world has moved on a lot, and HTC didn't. That's a shame considering they used to be the main competitor for Samsung.

Shouldn't it have Quick Charge 4.0 instead of 3.0? Snapdragon 82x is QC3.0 and Snapdragon 835 is QC4.0

Rafe Firmani, 03 Apr 2017You forget one important thing: Audio quality. And samsun... moreI skipped, not forgot. Audio quality of Samsung is nothing compared to 10, but it's on par or better than any other flagship, and on par with the quality one would expect from a flagship. and it is not important than battery life. If you are not able to deliver even "enough" battery life, and u brag about high resolution audio while others are giving more than enough audio quality + one of the best battery life, then you are going to fail. though that was ok for Samsung in 2016. on 2017, it's still mono. I'm disappointed by S8 and G6 BTW. G6 camera is crap, and practically S8 is s7 with taller screen.
Will anyone make with 3500mah battery, sd835, 6GB ram, 64GB + SD card, IMX 378

It's very clear that after Samsung, Chinese brands are dominating the Android world. It's a shame that quality brands like Sony, HTC, Motorola are dying... But it's their own fault!

Apple removed 3.5mm jack because they wanted profit, and companies like HTC are removing them because no apparent reason, they just want to follow apple!

The Pixel is a great phone because of its software but if random hardware issues arises, it is because of HTC.

The last great HTC? The M8. The last beautiful HTC phone? The M7 because it was more proportionate and symmetrical than the M8 and Sense 5 looked great on it until it declined with 6.

Imagine Google went to Huawei first over HTC for their Pixels last year? They already knew Huawei surpassed HTC in design and hardware since the Mate7. The Honor 8 looks better than the U. Their P9 looks better than the HTC 10.

The reason why the current Pixel design is pretty bad was because of the late start with HTC and getting leftover inventory of that ugly chin bezel shell. Huawei would never let that happen had they agreed to eliminate their branding but Huawei has become Top 3 OEM right now so their pride is much bigger these days.

Again, most of the criticism of the Pixel is hardware-related which goes back to HTC no longer being a top tier OEM. Most of best aspects of the Pixel is software-related thanks to the fluid Android experience and Google's HDR+ algorithm.
