Top 3 of this year: G6, S8, I8.

Its really ldiotic idea, and I can ensure you that even if some brainiac will buy it, it will turn it off after few minutes.

in my opinion it is U-G-L-Y. Dear HTC, why not hold on to the design like the M7 and M8? A lot of people would've liked it. And the finger print sensor at the BACK please. The last thing we want to see is a SAMSUNG-zoned HTC smartphone.

So HTC won't follow minimal bezels trend. I hope this sensitive bezels is not just a gimmick otherwise this will have hard time selling when g6/s8 are its direct competitors

But when they do the unveiling of device , they will keep states that they listen to customer ... They still thinking that they are on the same level with sammy and apple. Sony is making improvement now , their price is pretty worth it

The edge sensor looks genuinely useful (as shown on the demo). Also it would be a pleasure to scroll without touching & swiping the screen. But the lack of a 3.5 mm headphone would be a serious deal-breaker! Please HTC, don't shoot yourself in the foot!

Why cant you keep the 3.5mm jack ... I just check in my country , the price of u ultra is dropping drastically . Meaning less people bought that thing . Another loss for htc , hopefully , htc drop down the price , even if the profit margin is small , try to get profit through number of sales, the amount of device being sold , for example xiaomi , i think they have small profit margin , and sell their device cheap . But they sell million of phone. Per device , even if the margin is small , when you can sell million , its a lot !!

Well if this is meant to be HTC's saviour device, then they have had it,it will be too pricey, have the usual HTC compromise somewhere vital and will not sell anything like HTC need every device to sell like to save themselves.
One day, probably day after bankruptcy or take over,HTC will probably re-appear on xda forum asking why folk didn't buy their devices, try asking now what folk actually want from their HTC phones and try building that, instead of the usual modern route of allowing poxy "designers" to control everything and then trying to convince folk that they really need/want the latest joke concept like the ocean, which it will vanish into, like one small drip in the mid-atlantic..
I supported HTC like any mad fanboy for the first years of their life from sea to HTC,pity it's been nearly all downhill for their devices and HTC since then...
Bring out the HD2/3,it can't sell any worse than the other non-sellers that they have tried themselves,or the craps they are making for Google etc..
If the ocean is the best HTC can do in mid 2017,then they deserve to die...

I reckon LG and Samsung set the trend for this year's flagships: minimal bezels (including top and bottom) or go home.

Either this or the pressure sensitive frame better not be a gimmick.

AnonD-39937, 03 Apr 2017Bluetooth 4.2 with Snapdragon 835!? HTC likes to shoot itse... moreExcuse me but what do you want more than Snapdragon 835? And Bluetooth 5 is rarely on any device exept the galaxy S8...I mean seriously people would criticize everything HTC without knowin the specs first wich are fine on the Ocean, and i hope thta they do not name it U cz it quirck that its better than the U Ultra.

Goran , 03 Apr 2017Does this really look like a saviour for htc to you? No,it's another pricey niche device that will be swamped by better,better/value devices..

Delusionally priced HTC 11 with no 3.5 and glass back will be worse flop than M9 and probably htc's last flagship.

Eh. Looks decent. But nothing revolutionary.
