Samsung should've just focused on improving other key areas instead of this corny sounding Bixby assistant. Like better placement of the fingerprint scanner and stereo speakers. And a better audio DAC. At least one of those I mentioned should be a much better endeavor than another duplicate app.

So does this mean the S8 launcher leak thatvworks on some Samsung models such as S7/Edge can now possibly have voice control now since they can do anything Bixby can except voice because of the no dedicated button issue? Reports said Bixby crashes after a few minutes. Ive experienced none of this so voice with Bixby and the s8:launcher leak will be great. I suppose we have to wait until someone Remax it to say a triple click of the home button or something and then reposts it the leak for us to download but maybe theres an easier workaround. just dont make it require root. root sucks now days and I simply wont root anymore there's no reason for it anymore. Not for me. The S7/Edge US variant root is a laggy joke even after all the patching and updates and then it's stable but buggy as hell. I prob wont root again. between Pay, and manyxother features no root is the way to go for speed and stability and I can disable any app I want with Package Disabler Pro which is 5.00 or so and doesn't require root.

Instead of duplicating existing Google solutions Samsung could have focused on providing basic functionality, like the usable fingerprint reader. Because as for now - this thing located on the back, next to the camera, is useless.

since Bixby is only usable in English and Korean (For now) Yes. it'll be FAR MORE convenient to be able to remap the button to something else if it doesn't function in other languages.

As nice as this is... it should be doable without a 3rd party app. Especially considering the fact that Bixby itself won't be available everywhere.

Anonymous, 06 Apr 2017Wished it could be remapped into FP scanner, but sadly no.I love Sony's fingerprint button placement. Something that supposedly perfect for minimum bezel trend nowadays. unfortunately Sony haven't follow the trend tough.
Also, Sony made a bad deal that barred them from using it in USA. too bad really.
